Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform a measurement operation to attain multiple measurements to report to a base station. The measurements may correspond to a first number of bits if reported. The UE may compress the measurements using an encoder neural network (NN) to obtain an encoder output indicating the measurements. This encoder output may include a second number of bits that is less than the first number of bits. The UE may report the encoder output to the base station in this compressed form. At the base station, the encoder output may be decompressed according to a decoder NN. Once the base station decompresses the encoder output, the UE and base station may communicate according to the measurements determined from the decompression. In some cases, the base station may perform load redistribution based on the measurements.

In some examples, the information request may be associated with one or more measurements associated with operations of the network. In some instances, the UE may use a machine learning model to perform training or inference based on the information associated with the one or more measurements.

Abstract: Spatial listen before talk (LBT) with broadcasting or multicasting reception is disclosed. Aspects of the disclosure provide for managing spatial LBT transmissions between broadcast communication nodes and neighboring cells. In one aspect, the broadcast transmitter transmits a preamble that identifies the broadcast transmission durations and the non-broadcast durations in the upcoming transmit opportunity. The potential interferer would read the preamble and yield any transmissions during the broadcast durations. Additional aspects provide for a periodic broadcast clear-to-send (CTS) signal transmitted by the broadcast receivers. The interferer may use the broadcast CTS to perform spatial LBT during the broadcast durations. Further aspects allow the broadcast receivers to determine when potential interferers would cause interference above a threshold. In such circumstances, the broadcast receivers would send the CTS to allow the interferer to perform spatial LBT during the broadcast durations.

The positioning signals may include positioning reference signals (PRSs) associated with observed time difference of arrival (OTDOA) positioning operations, ranging signals associated with round-trip time (RTT) positioning operations, or other suitable signals from which the position of the UE can be determined.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of one or more encoding operations to use for encoding a compressed dataset, the one or more encoding operations including a differential encoding operation, or an entropy encoding operation, or both. In some examples, using a neural network, the UE may first encode a dataset based on an additional encoding operation to generate a compressed dataset and then quantize the compressed dataset encoded based on the additional encoding operation. Subsequently, after the dataset has been initially encoded and then quantized, the UE may use the indication of the one or more encoding operations to further encode and compress the dataset. The UE may then transmit the dataset to a second device based on the one or more encoding operations.

Abstract: To improve overall throughput and reliability of communications for a user equipment (UE) on a shared radio spectrum, the UE may share an acquired transmission opportunity (TxOP) with multiple transmission receive points (TRPs) or peer UEs. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus is configured to trigger at least one TRP or at least one peer UE to share an acquired TxOP, and receive downlink/uplink transmissions from the at least one TRP or peer UE during the TxOP based in part on a listen before talk (LBT) indication and a TxOP sharing mode. The apparatus is also configured to obtain the TxOP via an LBT procedure and to adjust a contention window (CW) of the LBT procedure based on a success-failure ratio the downlink/uplink transmissions from the at least one TRP or peer UE.

Abstract: Systems and methods facilitating feedback of robust channel state information (CSI), such as to provide full CSI feedback or otherwise providing CSI feedback, are described. CSI encoders and/or decoders used by network nodes may implement channel compression/reconstruction based upon neural-network (NN) training of collected channels. A structured payload having an interpretable payload portion and an uninterpretable payload portion may utilized with respect to CSI feedback. The channel compression provided according to some aspects of the disclosure supports feedback of robust CSI, in some instances including full CSI, as determined by a particular network node. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.
