    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first wireless device may receive a clear to send signal based precoded based at least in part on a receive filter at a second wireless device. The first wireless device may calculate a transmit precoder based at least in part on the clear to send signal. For example, the first wireless device may calculate a whitening filter and a second filter based at least in part on the clear to send signal. The first wireless device may transmit a request to send signal precoded by the transmit precoder to initiate communications with a third wireless device without significantly interfering with ongoing communications at the second wireless device.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive a resource allocation indicating a plurality of transmission tones comprising a subset of data tones of a plurality of data tones and a subset of peak reduction tones (PRTs) of a plurality of PRTs, wherein the resource allocation indicates locations for the plurality of data tones and locations for the plurality of PRTs within a particular bandwidth, wherein the locations for the plurality of PRTs are arranged relative to the locations for the plurality of data tones according to a PRT subsequence of a universal PRT sequence, and wherein the PRT subsequence corresponds to a sub-band of the particular bandwidth; and transmit a data transmission using a waveform based at least in part on the resource allocation.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a precoded reference signal to prevent interference with an incoming signal from a base station. The UE may determine a precoder for the reference signal based at least in part on a whitening matrix. In some examples, the UE may determine the precoder based at least in part on the whitening matrix and an effective channel between the base station and the UE. The precoded reference signal may be used by devices in other wireless communications systems to avoid interfering with a signal being received by the UE. In some examples, the UE may alternatively or additionally transmit an indication of the number of additional layers of the link between the UE and the base station that may be nulled out for a second link.

    Abstract: A discovery measurement timing configuration (DMTC) window reservation signal is disclosed for new radio (NR) shared spectrum (NR-SS) networks. The DMTC window is defined providing a reserved location for transmission of essential control signaling and potentially high priority traffic that may be transmitted in a prioritized manner. Access within the DMTC window may be provided with a clear channel assessment (CCA) exempt transmission (CET) option or a non-CET option. When the CET option is used, the reservation duration and period may be conveyed through the channel reservation signal. User equipments (UEs) that detect the reservation signal may re-transmit with added offset to inform neighboring base station that may not be within range of the serving base station. Base station that receive either the transmitted or re-transmitted reservation signal will refrain from communications that may interfere with the reception at the UEs.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems may configure a subset of allocated resources (e.g., one or more resource elements (REs) of one or more allocated resource blocks (RBs)) as peak reduction tones (PRTs) for a peak-cancelation signal. For instance, wireless communications systems may configure a fixed PRT allocation based on a Costas array. In some examples, each column of a Costas array may correspond to a RB of a set of allocated resources. A transmitting device may thus identify one or more PRT REs based on the Costas array and a mapping of allocated RBs to the columns of the Costas array. For instance, a transmitting device may identify a pattern of PRT REs to use for a peak-cancellation signal based at least in part on a configured Costas array (e.g., where the peak-cancellation signal may reduce peaks of a corresponding data signal to ultimately reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of a transmission).

    Abstract: Systems and methods providing peak to average power ratio (PAPR) shaping for PAPR reduction using, for example, an extra-allocation peak reduction tone (PRT) signal processing technique are described. Carrier resources outside of carrier resources allocated for data transmission may be utilized for extra-allocation PRTs. Use of extra-allocation carrier resources for transmitting extra-allocation PRTs may be subject to a power threshold (T). The extra-allocation carrier resources and/or extra-allocation PRTs may be configured for peak to average power shaping of signal transmissions by a wireless device, such as base stations, user equipments (UEs), etc. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.
