    Abstract: A service controller of a computing device can store console messages so that an external management device can retrieve the console messages after a malfunction or crash of the computing device. For example, the service controller can be configured to redirect serial output (e.g., console messages, system log messages, system error message, etc.) to a network interface controller for transmission over a network connection. The service controller can be configured to store the console messages in non-volatile memory of the service controller. The service controller can receive a request for the stored console messages and transmit the stored console messages to an external device.

    Abstract: A method for adhering a film to a touch pad includes adhering a fixing bracket to a back surface of a touch pad, and aligning a plurality of screw holes of the fixing bracket with a plurality of the screw holes of a front cover of a system body, respectively, and connecting the fixing bracket and the front cover of the system body using screws or bolts that engage the screw holes. A positioning wall of a positioning frame is inserted into a gap between the touch pad and the front cover of the system body from a front surface of the touch pad. A film is aligned with an opening of the positioning frame, and the film is adhered to the front surface of the touch pad. The positioning frame is removed from the front surface of the touch pad.

    Abstract: An optical touch-control system is provided. The optical touch-control system includes: a display unit; a light source; a retro-reflective touch-control device; at least two image capturing units, and a processor. The image capturing units are configured to capture a plurality of images in front of the display unit, which are generated by the retro-reflective touch-control device reflecting the light emitted from the light source. The processor determines whether at least one first cluster is in the images from the image capturing units based on a first threshold. The processor further calculates a touch position of the retro-reflective touch-control device on the display unit based on the at least one first cluster.

    Abstract: A waterproof notebook computer includes a chassis, a flexible waterproof pad, a touchpad and a trigger switch. The chassis has a receiving space. The flexible waterproof pad is exposed from one surface of the chassis, and all edges of the flexible waterproof pad are connected to the chassis hermetically so that the receiving space of the chassis is isolated from the exterior of the chassis. The trigger switch is disposed inside the receiving space. The touchpad is disposed between the trigger switch and the flexible waterproof pad. When the touchpad is pressed towards the receiving space through the flexible waterproof pad, the flexible waterproof pad stretches to move the touchpad to trigger the trigger switch.

    Abstract: A component carrier includes a housing having an open front portion, two partially open sidewalls, and a partial rear wall forming a receiving space. The receiving space is configured to receive at least one storage device. A flange extending from the housing is configured to receive a first insertable connector. The first insertable connector is configured to engage an electronic device, thereby securing the carrier assembly to the electronic device. A front panel is configured to be coupled with the housing by a second insertable connector, thereby enclosing the receiving space. The second insertable connector configured to engage one partially open sidewall. The first insertable connector and the second insertable connector are individually transitionable between a secured configuration and an unsecured configuration without tools.
