Abstract:
A cable measuring tool includes a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion includes a first rounded edge and a cutaway. The cutaway is configured to fit at least a half of a cable having a maximum diameter. The first rounded edge has a radius greater than the maximum diameter of the cable. The second end portion is opposite from the first end portion. The second end portion includes a second edge. The first rounded edge of the first end portion and the second edge of the second end portion define a length of the cable measuring tool.
Abstract:
A removable chassis for a server rack includes two side walls, an accommodation space, and a carrier tray. The two side walls are on either side of the removable chassis, where each side wall includes a slide rail for sliding the removable chassis into or out of the server rack. The accommodation space is defined between the two sidewalls. The accommodation space is divided into a plurality of compartments by a plurality of dividers. The carrier tray is slidably attached to each compartment and held in place by friction. The carrier tray includes at least one recess for each removably receiving an electronic device.
Abstract:
A peripheral card securing apparatus for removably securing a plurality of peripheral cards to a chassis. The apparatus can comprise a securing clamp comprising a top portion and a bottom portion. For example, the securing clamp can be slidably coupled to the chassis, and sliding the securing clamp from an open position to a locked position secures the plurality of peripheral cards to the chassis. In some implementations, the top portion can comprise a first sliding aperture, a second sliding aperture, and a securing portion. For example, the first sliding aperture can be slidably engaged with a first securing point, and the second sliding aperture can be slidably engaged with a second securing point, such that the securing portion secures the plurality of peripheral cards to the chassis in the locked position.
Abstract:
A hard disk drive (HDD) carrier bracket for use in mounting a hard disk drive (HDD) in a chassis via a HDD tray includes a first frame member and a second frame member. The second frame member is coupled to the first frame member such that the first and second frame members are moveable relative to one another, between an extended position and a collapsed position. The HDD carrier bracket is installable in the HDD tray without tools. The HDD tray is installable in the chassis without tools.
Abstract:
The disclosure provides a positioning frame for a touch pad. The positioning frame includes a main frame and a positioning wall. The positioning wall is located at a side of the main frame and is connected to the main frame. An inner surface of the main frame and the positioning wall define an opening. An area of the opening is approximately the same as an area of a film to be adhered to the touch pad. The positioning wall is configured to insert into a gap between the touch pad and a front cover of a system body.
Abstract:
A detachable handle includes a body, a connector, a pivot joint, and a transmission element. The body includes a plurality of I/O ports. The pivot joint connects the body to the connector for switching a rotational angle between the body and the connector. The transmission element embedded in the body electrically connects the I/O ports to the connector. The pivot joint includes a first pivot plate and a second pivot plate pivoted to each other. A terminal of the first pivot plate is fixed to the body, and a terminal of the second pivot plate is fixed to the connector. An electronic device using the detachable handle is also disclosed.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method simulates cable routing for determining signal integrity between electronic components within a computer chassis. The apparatus includes a base plate simulating a computer chassis base. The base plate includes a top surface. A plurality of reconfigurable mounting fixtures each allow temporary mounting of a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) to a respective reconfigurable mounting fixture. The plurality of reconfigurable mounting fixtures is temporarily mountable anywhere on the top surface of the base plate. A cable including a first end connector allows a connection to a first PCBA, and a second end connector allows a connection to a second PCBA.
Abstract:
A computing device is provided with a slot that includes a first locking element and a second locking element configured to receive a removable general purpose graphic processing unit (GPGPU) carrier. The GPGPU carrier includes a bracket for securing a first GPGPU in a first receiving space, and second GPGPU in a second receiving space. The bracket also includes a first latching mechanism configured to secure the first locking element of the slot, and a second latching mechanism configured to secure the second locking element of the slot. The GPGPU carrier also includes a frame secured to the bracket. The frame includes a first end with a first guide slot, and a second end with a second guide slot, configured to secure the GPGPU carrier within the slot. The first and second guide slots are configured to enable the GPGPU carrier to adjust from a first position to a second position while secured within the slot.
Abstract:
A method for adhering a film to a touch pad includes adhering a fixing bracket to a back surface of a touch pad, and aligning a plurality of screw holes of the fixing bracket with a plurality of the screw holes of a front cover of a system body, respectively, and connecting the fixing bracket and the front cover of the system body using screws or bolts that engage the screw holes. A positioning wall of a positioning frame is inserted into a gap between the touch pad and the front cover of the system body from a front surface of the touch pad. A film is aligned with an opening of the positioning frame, and the film is adhered to the front surface of the touch pad. The positioning frame is removed from the front surface of the touch pad.
