Abstract: A method comprising the steps of:receiving, from a user electronic device at a computer system, one or more extracted feature vectors that are compact representations of one or more video frames of a video displayed at the user device; identifying, at the computer system, one or more products related to the one or more video frames based at least in part on an approximate nearest neighbor search of an electronic database of reference feature vectors corresponding to one or more reference works that identifies any match within a threshold of at least one of the reference feature vectors to the one or more extracted feature vectors but does not guarantee to identify the closest match to the one or more extracted feature vectors; providing, by the computer system to the user electronic device, the identified one or more products along with action information associated with the identified one or more products, wherein the action information is related to an action to be performed at the user electronic device; receiving, at the computer system from the user electronic device, a selection of one of the identified one or more products; and providing, to the electronic device, machine readable instructions for performance of the action associated with the selected one of the identified one or more products.

Abstract: Small changes in a broadcast version of a base media item can be identified by performing a multi-level comparison of digital fingerprints. A fingerprint of a base media item is compared to a fingerprint of a media broadcast to determine whether a media item embedded in a broadcast is likely, to a first level of certainty, to be the base media item. A second, more stringent, match between the fingerprint of the base media item and loosely matched items can be used to identify potentially-altered versions of the base media item. Potentially-altered versions can be compared against each other, and resulting matches are flagged as altered base media items, which can be fingerprinted and tested against broadcast fingerprints in the same manner as the base media item.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for enabling a plurality of media feeds, such as internet radio stations, to be played through a standard media player, such as a radio receiving device, using the tuning or input selection controls of the media player to control the selection of which media feed to play. Identification signatures are added to channels and transmitted to the media player by transmitter. A controller captures the feedback of the media player and, if it detects one of the signature signals in the feedback, instructs the media feed selector to select a media feed which corresponds to the detected identification signature. The selected audio feed may then be transmitted to the media player on the corresponding channel for playback.

Abstract: Media monitoring using multiple types of signatures is disclosed. Example methods disclosed herein include, in response to determining that a media signature of a first type reported by a device meter matched a reference signature of the first type associated with first reference media, sending a first indication to the device meter to indicate that media monitored by the device meter corresponds to the first reference media, and sending a set of reference signatures of a second type associated with the first reference media to the device meter. Disclosed example methods also include receiving a second indication from the device meter indicating that the media monitored by the device meter no longer corresponds to the first reference media, and in response to receiving the second indication, processing subsequent media signatures of the first type reported by the device meter to identify the media being monitored by the device meter.
