Abstract:
In exemplary embodiments, a dot pattern technique is provided with flexible length of data to be registered and with enhanced security by arranging a dot pattern to be disposed on a printed material, especially a block containing the dot pattern, on the basis of a new rule.
Abstract:
Sharp fluctuations of an internal voltage when an internal voltage generating circuit is activated or inactivated are prevented. The internal voltage generating circuit to supply the internal voltage generated from an external voltage to an internal power supply line, a control circuit to control an operation of the internal voltage generating circuit, and a voltage detection circuit to detect a level of a first voltage are included. When, for example, the internal voltage generating circuit is activated, the control circuit stepwise increases supply ability of the internal voltage at a first speed and when the internal voltage generating circuit is inactivated, the control circuit stepwise reduces the supply ability of the internal voltage at a second speed that is different from the first speed. Accordingly, wild fluctuations of the internal voltage when the internal voltage generating circuit is activated/inactivated can optimally be prevented for each case.
Abstract:
An information input system with a touch panel-mounted information processing device which inputs the position, direction and code information of a card when the card is placed on the touch panel, and further inputs information combining the position of a finger and information of the card when the touch panel is touched through the card. The information input system includes a touch panel that receives operations by the user by an electrostatic capacitance method, an information processing unit with the touch panel as input means, and a thin-plate medium to be placed on the touch panel. The information processing unit identifies, using a predetermined calibration method, code information defined in the medium and medium information including the placing position and placing direction of the medium, and identifies coordinate values in a touch panel coordinate system for specifying the position on the medium surface touched by the user in touch operations.
Abstract:
An embodiment of a bit converter includes a substitution module and an output module. The substitution module substitutes a decision result representing one of “0” and “1” for input bit information based on a substitution rule for bit information for converting a bit string of a predetermined pattern into a predetermined code word. The output module outputs the decision result of the bit information substituted by the substitution module, to a decoder configured to decode the decision result into the predetermined code word.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a heterocyclic compound represented by General Formula (1): wherein R1 is a group R5—Z1—, etc., Z1 is a lower alkylene group, etc., and R5 is a group represented by General Formula; wherein R13 is a hydrogen atom, etc., m is an integer from 1 to 5; R2 is a hydrogen atom: Y is CH or N: A1 is a heterocyclic ring selected from the group consisting of indolediyl groups, wherein the heterocyclic ring may have at least one substituent: T is a group —CO—, etc.: R3 is a hydrogen atom, etc.: R4 is a lower alkyl group optionally substituted by one or more hydroxy groups, etc.: R3 and R4, together with the nitrogen atom to which they bind, may bind to each other and form a 5- to 10-membered saturated heterocyclic ring, wherein the heterocyclic ring may have at least one substituent. The heterocyclic compound of the present invention has excellent effects of suppressing the production of collagen and/or treating tumors.
Abstract:
The present invention has a technical objective of providing a distinctive display format for machine-readable dot patterns which does not harm the aesthetics of images displayed on a display device. The dot pattern is made machine readable by providing the periphery of dots with a contrast control region and/or an anti-aliasing region which are distinguishable from the surrounding image. Thus enabled is the embedding of the two-dimensional codes which cannot he recognized by audiences yet machine readable on video or images on the screen of a display device. An audience can easily acquire information defined by the dot patterns using a digital camera, a video camera, a portable telephone camera, a web camera, or the like to image the screen of the display device or to capture the screen as data.
Abstract:
An information output device includes a touch panel chassis having a touch panel with a medium on which a coordinate value based on a predetermined rule and a dot pattern signifying a code value are printed. The medium is placed on the touch panel with a surface on which the dot pattern is printed facing the touch panel. The device includes a coordinate recognition unit for recognizing a position on the medium of the touch panel. The device also includes an imaging unit for imaging via an imaging portion disposed on a predetermined location in the touch panel chassis. The device further includes a control unit for computing the coordinate value, the code value, and an orientation signified by the dot pattern and for inputting coordinate information from the coordinate recognition unit of the touch panel. An output unit outputs multimedia information according to an instruction from the control unit.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a battery management apparatus includes a time measurement module and a determination module. The time measurement value is configured to measure a discharge time after requesting driving a device by a direct-current voltage supplied from the battery until the voltage is lowered to a discharge stop voltage which is a voltage that the battery should stop discharge. The determination module is configured to determine that the battery is new, when the discharge time measured by the time measurement module is greater than or equal to a predetermined time that is set to determine if the battery is new.
Abstract:
The present invention increases the number of characters available on a stencil for charged particle beam lithography. A stencil for charged particle beam lithography is disclosed, comprising two character projection (CP) characters, wherein the blanking areas for the two CP characters overlap. A stencil is also disclosed comprising two CP characters with one or more optional characters between the two characters, wherein the optional characters can form meaningful patterns on a surface only in combination with one of the two characters. A stencil is also disclosed wherein the blanking area of a CP character extends beyond the boundary of the stencil's available character area. Methods for design of the aforementioned stencils are also disclosed.
