A magnetic device for gripping and clamping a workpiece in a machining unit or on a machining line including a magnetic plate having a distribution of high-energy permanent-magnet modules, which can be electrically activated. An auxiliary workpiece-holder plate made of ferromagnetic material rests on a main surface of the magnetic plate and has a top surface shaped in a way complementary to a surface of the workpiece that rests thereon. The workpiece rests on the top surface of the auxiliary workpiece-holder plate only in points corresponding to some supporting pads, whilst the facing surfaces of the workpiece and auxiliary workpiece-holder plate are kept slightly set apart from one another for most of their extension.

An automotive electronic control system for a motor vehicle is provided. The automotive electronic control system is designed to cause the motor vehicle to enter a freewheel running condition with internal combustion engine off if the automotive electronic control system determines, based on received quantities indicative of operative conditions of the motor vehicle, occurrence of a driver-performable action indicative of the will of the driver to enter a freewheel running condition with internal combustion engine off and occurrence at or within a given time from the occurrence of the driver-performable action and the maintaining for a given time of specific predetermined entry conditions. The automotive electronic control system is further designed to cause the motor vehicle to leave a freewheel running condition with internal combustion engine off if the automotive electronic control system determines, based on the received quantities, occurrence of at least one of specific predetermined exit conditions.

A rotary drum for a gear control device for a motor-vehicle gearbox is provided. The drum is rotatable about a rotation axis and includes two guide channels on a cylindrical lateral surface of the drum arranged to guide in a slidable manner at least one follower member. The rotary movement of the drum about the rotation axis is converted into translatory movement of said at least one follower member. A series of positioning notches are provided on the cylindrical lateral surface of the drum and spaced apart angularly along a circumference of the drum for snap-engagement by a stop member associated with the drum. The positioning notches are axially interposed between the two guide channels. Two rings of radial through-holes are provided on the cylindrical lateral surface of the drum, each axially interposed between the positioning notches and a respective guide channel.

The propulsion system includes an internal combustion engine, an electric machine and a double-clutch transmission with a clutch unit and a mechanical gearbox. The gearbox has two coaxial primary shafts intended to be torsionally connected each to a shaft of the internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle by a respective friction clutch of the clutch unit, as well as a secondary shaft and a lay shaft arranged parallel to the two primary shafts. The electric machine is permanently kinematically connected to either of the two primary shafts via a first gear train including a pinion mounted on an output shaft of the electric machine, an intermediate gearwheel mounted on an intermediate shaft and a gearwheel mounted on the primary shaft and acting as driving gearwheel of a second gear train of the gearbox associated to one of the gears, in particular to the second forward gear. The gearbox further includes a casing and the electric machine is inserted and fixed into a seat formed by that casing. An outer surface of a stator of the electric machine forms a spiral-shaped profile which serves as cooling circuit for the electric machine and is closed on the radially outer side by an inner cylindrical surface of the seat, in such a manner that the channels of the cooling circuit are defined between the spiral-shaped profile and the inner cylindrical surface.

A system for controlling a power-converter device of a DC/DC type, having an input connected to a first electric battery at an input voltage, and an output connected to a second electric battery at an output voltage, and being provided with: a transformer stage, with a primary winding coupled to the input, and a secondary winding coupled to the output; a switching stage, arranged between the input and the primary winding and supplying an alternating electrical quantity to the primary winding as a function of the input voltage; a rectifier stage arranged between the secondary winding and the output for generating the output voltage. A control stage switching controls the switching stage at a switching frequency, as a function of a measurement signal indicative of an electrical output quantity, by means of a digital average-current-mode control, obtaining the measurement signal by means of a subsampling of the electrical output quantity, at a sampling frequency, lower than the switching frequency.

An optical detection system per motor-vehicles, suitable to detect the condition of the road surface on which the vehicle is travelling, comprising a photodetector unit composed of a camera having a matrix of pixels composed of photodetectors based on a photosensitive material suitable to detect both radiations in the visible and near infrared, i.e. having a wavelength comprised between 380 and 900 nanometres, and radiations in the short wavelength infrared, i.e. having a wavelength comprised between 900 and 1700 nanometres.

The control apparatus comprises, in its version intended for a double-clutch transmission, first, second and third shift forks each movable between first and second engagement positions to engage a respective gear, of which the first shift fork is able to engage at least the first gear and the second shift fork is able to engage at least the second gear, first, second and third double-acting hydraulic actuators arranged to control each the movement of a respective shift fork between the first and second engagement position, of which the first hydraulic actuator is associated to the first shift fork and the second hydraulic actuator is associated to the second shift fork, a slide valve selectively movable into one of at least three operating positions in each of which the slide valve selects a respective hydraulic actuator, and first and second gear shift solenoid valves for controlling the supply of fluid to the hydraulic actuator each time selected by the slide valve or the connection of that actuator to a tank. The first shift fork is moved into the engagement position of the first gear upon energization of the first gear shift solenoid valve, whereas the second shift fork is moved into the engagement position of the second gear upon energization of the second gear shift solenoid valve.

A gear change device for including a first and a second primary shaft, selectively connectable to a driving shaft of a motor vehicle by a double clutch engagement device, and a first and a second secondary shaft. A plurality of gear selector devices rotatably couples each of freely rotatable gear wheels with the shaft on which it is mounted, and at least one rotatable actuator drum, for controlling the selector devices, having a plurality of cam tracks. The selector devices include respective fork-like actuator members and each has a cam follower element engaged in a respective cam track of the respective actuator drum. Each pair of cam tracks adjacent w each other provided on an actuator drum controls fork-like actuator members which are associated to different secondary shafts and which have the cam follower elements thereof engaged on the drum in positions angularly spaced with respect to each other.

Described herein is a method for controlling the quality of a laser-welding process, for example, of laser welds of semifinished products constituted by elements of sheet metal of different thickness and/or properties (“tailored blanks”), of the type that comprises the steps of: detecting a radiation (E*) produced in the welding area and issuing signals (E*) indicating said radiation; acquiring and processing said signals (E*) indicating said radiation; making a division into blocks of said signals (E*) indicating said radiation; calculating for each block a block-mean value (u) and a value of block standard deviation (o); and in supplying input values comprising block-mean values (u) and values standard deviation (o) for identifying defects and/or porosities and insufficient penetration.
