    Abstract: A substantial portion of the peripheral edges of two panels forming a component of a motor-vehicle body, in particular a front bonnet of a motor-vehicle, is joined by interposing a thermosetting adhesive. Polymerisation of the adhesive is obtained by heating, without introducing the structure into an oven, by means of one or more induction heating coil, which are shaped and arranged in proximity and along the peripheral edges of the two panels. The quality of the induction heating process is controlled according to signals output by a thermographic detection camera which is positioned adjustable at a point from which it can acquire a thermographic image of the entire extension of said peripheral edges of the panels to be joined, so as to allow simultaneously controlling the temperature reached by each portion of the peripheral edges of the panels.

    Abstract: The device includes a combustor comprising an inlet chamber or region intended to receive a flow of fuel and a combustion supporter at high pressure, an outlet chamber or region or combustion product exhaust at relatively lower pressure, and at least one separation element of nano-porous or micro-porous semi-conductor material which separates the inlet chamber or region from the outlet chamber or region. The separation element has a plurality of nano-pores or micro-pores passing therethrough which define communication passages between the inlet clad chamber or region and the outlet chamber or region. The surface of these pores is at least partly clad in a layer of an electrically conductive or semi-conductive material which, relative to the semi-conductor material of the separation element forms an essentially extended junction, in particular a p-n junction or a Schottky junction or a hetero junction. First and second electrodes are connected to the cladding of the pores passing therethrough, and respectively, to the semi-conductor material of the separation element. In operation the pores act as confined microcombustion chambers and the energy developed by the combustion is able to cause creation of stable electron-hole pairs at the said junction and the generation of a corresponding potential difference between the electrodes.

    Abstract: An optical system for image projection, particularly for projection devices of the “head-mounted” type, includes a display, an optical system for focusing an image formed by the display, and a light guide having an extended body, with two opposite, longitudinal, plane and parallel faces, and opposite ends which define first reflecting surface for coupling into the light guide and second reflecting surface for extracting the image from the light guide. Each light ray which propagates through the light guide undergoes at least three internal total reflections on the parallel plane faces of the light guide. At least a surface of the focusing optical system is a portion of a surface free of rotational symmetry axes. Moreover, the two reflecting surfaces of the light guide are portions of surfaces free of rotational symmetry axes. Finally, the inlet pupil of the light guide coincides with the outlet pupil of the focusing system.
