Abstract:
A diesel fuel of improved flow properties at low temperatures which contains a linear, substantially oil-soluble polymer having a carbon-carbon backbone bering a graft moiety derived from, as a graft monomer, an unsaturated-hydrocarbon ester of an (C.sub.1 -C.sub.18) alkyl alcohol containing an ethylenically unsaturated carbon-carbon double bond.
Abstract:
An oil containing a viscosity index improver of improved oxidative stability contains, as an anti-oxidant system, 2,6-di-t-butylphenol and N-aminoethylpiperazine.
Abstract:
Dispersant viscosity index improvers for lubricating oils contain an EPR or EPT polymer onto which has been graft polymerized isocyanatoethyl methacrylate and thereafter reacted with N-methyl piperazine.
Abstract:
Lubricating oil compositions of improved dispersancy contain an ethylene-propylene copolymer grafted onto which is acrylic acid dimer, the free carboxyl group of which has thereafter been amidized with diethylene triamine.
Abstract:
Lubricating oils of improved properties contain a terpolymer of maleic acid anhydride and lauryl methacrylate and stearyl methacrylate which has been functionalized with dimethylaminopropylamine and a Mannich base of N-aminoethylpiperazine, paraformaldehyde, and 2,6-di-t-butyl phenol.
