Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a user interface for a digital camera such as a digital camera built into a smartphone or other multipurpose portable electronic device. The user interface simultaneously displays an electronic viewfinder image and at least one other image such as a previously captured image. The previously captured image is located within the electronic viewfinder image. Designated input causes the previously captured image to be enlarged from an initial size to an enlarged size.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for identifying workspace associations is provided. At a device comprising a processor, a memory, and a display, the processor manages two different workspaces distinguished by one or more of stored data at the memory and applications being associated with one or another of the two different workspaces. Provided at the display is one or more of: a current workspace identifier; and, an application association identifier identifying an association between an active application and a given one of the two different workspaces.

Abstract:
A particle optical apparatus has a particle source for generating at least one beam of charged particles, and a magnet arrangement having two pole plates, which are arranged spaced apart from one another, such that the at least one beam of charged particles in operation passes through the pole plates, wherein trenches are provided in the pole plates, in which trenches coil wires are arranged. The trenches, when viewed in a cross section transverse to an extension direction of the trenches, have a smaller width in a region of a surface of the pole plates, than in a region arranged at a distance from the surface.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a manipulator for an optical apparatus including a particle-optical apparatus. The manipulator is especially a diaphragm or specimen manipulator in an electron microscope. The component (4), which is to manipulated, is accommodated by a transfer body (2) movable relative to a spatially-fixed component (1) and the transfer body (2) includes a composite material having a high thermal conductivity while simultaneously having a vanishing or negative thermal expansion coefficient in the direction of the connecting axis (B—B) between the component (4) and the spatially-fixed component (1).
Abstract:
A method includes displaying, on a display of an electronic device, an information element associated with an application and detecting a first gesture. In response to detecting the first gesture, at least a first part of a first image is displayed, including information associated with the application, while reducing display of the information element.
Abstract:
A method, system and apparatus for collecting data associated with applications are provided. In response to receiving an indication that an icon associated with a given application stored at a memory of a device has been selected, the device comprising a processor, the memory, a communication interface and a display, an input option is provided at the display to receive input data associated with the given application without launching the given application. Data associated with the input data is transmitted to a remote computing device.
Abstract:
A method includes detecting a swipe gesture from an initial touch location on a touch-sensitive display of an electronic device; determining touch attributes for the swipe gesture; and performing a lock function if the touch attributes correspond to a stored swipe gesture associated with the lock function. Further lock functions may be activated by detection of attributes of a further stored swipe gesture.
