摘要: A cartridge is set in a printer main unit, and has a remaining toner measurer which measures toner in a toner chamber upon setting of the cartridge. A cartridge memory stores information of a remaining toner amount measured previously. CPU compares the remaining toner amount measured newly with the remaining toner amount measured previously and read from the cartridge memory. If there is an increase in the toner, the cartridge is determined as improper cartridge reloaded with the toner. An alarm signal is generated. Also, printing is inhibited. In another preferred embodiment, shortage information is assigned to the cartridge upon using up the toner. The cartridge, if it has the shortage information, is determined as improper. If a characteristic of the toner is not within a reference range, the cartridge is determined improper. In another preferred embodiment, an upper limit of the number of times of toner reloading is predetermined. The cartridge is determined improper if the reloading time number comes up to the upper limit. The improper cartridge is set in a state in which operation is inhibited. Also, when the cartridge is disassembled, the improper cartridge is inhibited from operating.

摘要: A surface-emitting semiconductor laser element includes a lower AlGaAs multilayer reflection film, an active layer, a current-confinement layer of a selective-oxidation type or an ion-injection type, and an upper AlGaAs multilayer reflection film which are formed above a GaAs substrate in this order in parallel to a surface from which laser light is emitted. The active layer includes: a quantum well made of InGaAsP having a first forbidden band width; and sublayers arranged adjacent to the quantum well and made of InGaP or InGaAsP which has a second forbidden band width greater than the first forbidden band width. The lower and upper AlGaAs multilayer reflection films constitute an optical resonator. The surface-emitting semiconductor laser element further includes a pair of electrodes which inject current into the active layer.

摘要: A radiation image recording medium is exposed to radiation passing through an object to record a radiation image of the object carried by the radiation. A heavy-element-containing phosphor sheet which is formed by heavy-element-containing phosphors containing therein a heavy element to emit light in an amount corresponding to the dose of radiation irradiated thereto is opposed to the radiation image recording medium on the side opposite to the object. A detector detects light emitted from the heavy-element-containing phosphor sheet.

摘要: A process for producing a three-dimensional model is provided. The process includes a step (layer formation step) of forming a layer of a powder material, the layer having a predetermined thickness, a step (cross-sectional shape formation step) of imagewise bonding the powder material layer by a binder according to sliced cross-sectional data of a modeled object so as to give a cross-sectional shape, and sequentially repeating the above steps. The surface gloss of the three-dimensional model obtained when measured at 20null is 20% or more. Furthermore, production equipment used in the above process is provided. Moreover, a three-dimensional model is provided that contains a powder material and a binder and is formed by imagewise curing the binder, the three-dimensional model having a surface gloss when measured at 20null of 20% or more.
