Abstract:
A grating fastener is provided having a base member, a saddle clamp and a swivel clamp rotatably mounted on the base member and spring biased perpendicular to the base member for ease of installation. The fastener is easily installed by rotating the swivel clamp parallel to the base member and inserting the assembly between two adjacent bearing bars and allowing the swivel clamp to spring to its engaged position automatically engaging the bottoms of two adjacent bearing bars. The saddle clamp engages the tops of the same two bearing bars engaged by the swivel clamp.
Abstract:
A multi patient dental instruction console is disclosed comprised of a table top with a plurality of stations thereabout. Each station has a compartment with a lid forming a part of the table top when closed. Each compartment provides facilities and oral hygiene items required to enable a patient to be instructed in the proper caring for the teeth. When the lid is opened it is held at a desired angle to enable a patient to observe himself in a mirror attached to the underside of the lid. A cuspidor in the form of a funnel is provided in each compartment. The lower end of each of the funnels is connected by a length of flexible hose to a common manifold which has its outlet connected to a trap. A source of vacuum is connected to the trap to aid in withdrawing fluid from the flexible hoses into the trap.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes processor and a control interface. The processor is adapted to in a first mode of operation, operate as part of one of a wireless receiver and a wireless transmitter and in a second mode of operation. The processor also processes a first audio band signal to generate a second audio band signal. The control interface selects one of the first and second modes of operation.
Abstract:
A technique includes selectively coupling impedances to an oscillator to establish a first frequency of operation of the oscillator. The technique includes repeating the selective coupling in a feedback loop to cause the first frequency to be near a second frequency.
Abstract:
Radio-frequency (RF) apparatus includes receiver analog circuitry that receives an RF signal and provides at least one digital signal to receiver digital circuitry that functions in cooperation with the receiver analog circuitry. The receiver analog circuitry and the receiver digital circuitry are partitioned so that interference effects between the receiver analog circuitry and the receiver digital circuitry tend to be reduced.
Abstract:
An roof edge assembly for anchoring foam-type roofing materials includes an anchoring flange having a longitudinal channel extending along the edge of the roof, into which a floating retainer member is received and allowed to move to accommodate thermal expansion of the roofing material. At least part of the free-floating retainer member becomes embedded into the foam-type roofing material during its application after the anchoring and retainer members have been installed on the roof. The retainer member is prevented from pulling away during application of the foam. The flange member can be separate or integral with a fascia portion.
Abstract:
A coping assembly is disclosed for a parapet wall on a building structure that can accommodate varying or inconsistent wall widths, with the parapet wall having generally vertical inner and outer vertical surfaces interconnected by a generally horizontal upper surface. Coping assemblies according to the present invention include a preferred resilient clip member, a clip attachment device for attaching the clip member to the parapet wall, a fascia member, a top plate member, and a top plate anchoring device for anchoring the top plate to the parapet wall. The fascia member and the top plate member have overlapping or telescoping portions that provide for the feature by which various wall widths or thicknesses can be accommodated.
Abstract:
A low temperature radiometer includes a main body, a main cavity, an exit cavity, a suspended thermometer, and an attached thermometer. The main cavity is disposed within the main body and is defined through an off-axis parabolic concentrating cone formed of the inner walls of the main body. The exit cavity is disposed within the main body and is defined through a cylindrical inner surface of the main body. The suspended thermometer is suspended within the exit cavity and is disposed to be in communication with radiation entering the main cavity and being diverted to the exit cavity. The attached thermometer is attached to the outer surface of the main body and is in thermal communication and contact with the main body.
Abstract:
A ratiometric clock system for an integrated receiver and associated method are disclosed that provide an advantageous solution for combining digital signal processing (DSP) circuitry on the same integrated circuit as mixer and local oscillator (LO) generation circuitry. The generation circuitry generates an oscillation signal that is passed through a first divider to generate mixing signals for the mixer and that is passed through a second divider to generate a digital clock signal that is utilized by the DSP circuitry. This digital clock signal can be utilized by integrated analog-to-digital conversion circuitry, as well.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, the present invention includes an amplifier having an input to receive a radio frequency (RF) signal from an output node of a source. An input stage coupled to the amplifier input may include one or more components to aid in processing of incoming signals. One such component coupled between the source and the input of the amplifier is a coupling capacitor used to maintain a bias voltage of the amplifier at a different potential than a DC voltage of the output node. In certain applications, the amplifier and the coupling capacitor may be integrated on a single substrate.
