These tetrablock copolymers contain polystyrene, polyisoprene and polybutadiene components. Road marking compounds prepared from these copolymers further contain a hydrocarbon resin.

A frame holder has two jaws (1, 2) mounted so as to be slidable relative to each other in order to be movable toward or away from each other. A clamping mechanism (5) is provided for maintaining the frame (6) between the jaws in a reference plane. At least one jaw (1, 2) is provided with at least one sensor (14) which is adapted to produce a signal indicating the arrival of the jaw in a position of activation of the clamping mechanism (5) when the two jaws move toward each other. The frame holder can be used in an apparatus for analyzing rims of spectacles frames.

A plant for the biological processing by means of activated sludge, by oxidation with pure oxygen or oxygen-enriched air, followed by a settling step, of a liquid suspension containing oxidizable matters, includes, in addition to the settling tank, a plurality of oxidation tanks disposed in series, communicating with each other, and adapted to be supplied with oxygen or oxygen-enriched air and the suspension to be treated, while recycling the decanted sludge, the suspension to be treated flowing in the direction of from the upstream tank to the downstream tank. The oxygen or oxygen-enriched air is introduced into the downstream tank and the venting of the plant to the atmosphere takes place from the upstream tank, whereby the venting of the plant to the atmosphere is responsive to the oxygen content of the gaseous phase in the upstream tank where the oxygen demand and therefore the oxygen concentration have their highest values, and the flow of oxygen or oxygen enriched air from the downstream tank wherein the demand for this gas and the consumption thereof are appreciably lower, cause an immediate and continuous increment in the oxygen content of the gaseous phase in the upstream tank, thus ensuring a rapid response to any oxygen demand together with a regular and continuous oxygen supply to the plant.

A self-adaptable proximity detector delivering a binary output signal for the presence or absence of a target. The proximity detector includes a processing unit and operates according to a short learning mode for an adjustment relative to its environment, according to a long learning mode for an adjustment relative to its environment and to a target, and according to a working mode corresponding to normal operation. The proximity detector also includes a variable digital storage resistor driven by the processing unit in the learning mode and connected to the detection stage so that variation of the value of the digital resistor causes a variation of the switching threshold. In the working mode, the processing unit is in a standby state and the variable digital storage resistor remains at its set operating value.

Apparatus of the invention includes:a diffraction grating for angularly separating the spectrum components of a beam to be processed;a grating that is conjugate with the other grating, and that makes the components parallel again; anda stair-shaped mirror for reflecting the components back to the same gratings while imposing different path lengths on the respective components.The invention is particularly applicable to compensating for the dispersion of a line fiber in a very long link between a transmitter and a receiver.

Each node (N1) of the network is connected to each of the subscriber sets (P1-1) that are associated with the node via a single optical fiber (FP1-1) on two different wavelengths. The node is connected to each of certain other nodes via a single fiber (FN1-2) on a single wavelength. In the node, the electrical signals are supplied by two optical receivers (2, 6) and are transmitted via amplifiers (8, 10) to a single transmitter (4). A passive directional coupler (22) and a wavelength separator (20) provide the necessary optical connections. Passive optical dividers (24, 26) form two interfaces with the sets and with the other nodes. The invention is applicable in particular to industrial transmission networks.
