A first high speed network is coupled to the sensor array and receives and communicates the image data. An array of process nodes is coupled to the first high speed network, and receives and processes the image data to produce anomaly reports. Each process node has an interface card coupled to the first high speed network, that receives the image data from the first high speed network and formats the image data according to a high speed interface bus protocol. A high speed interface bus is coupled to the interface card, receives the image data from the interface card. A computer is coupled to the high speed interface bus, and receives the image data from the high speed interface bus and processes the image data according to an algorithm, to produce the anomaly report. A second high speed network is coupled to the process nodes, and receives the anomaly reports from the process nodes. A job manager is coupled to the second high speed network, and receives the anomaly reports from the process nodes and sends information to the process nodes to coordinate the processing of the image data in the array of process nodes. An array of process nodes is coupled to the first high speed network, and receives and processes the image data to produce anomaly reports. Abstract:
A fuel injector having a piezoelectric actuator. A needle valve is mounted in the injector body and has an opening hydraulic surface substantially surrounded by a high-pressure fuel line in fluid communication with a high-pressure fuel chamber. A control piston partly defines a piston control chamber, which is in fluid communication with the opening hydraulic surface and the high-pressure fuel chamber. The piezoelectric actuator is activated between an off position and an on position for positioning a control valve into an open position or a closed position. A high-pressure fuel condition is maintained in the piston control chamber by fuel supplied from the high-pressure fuel chamber and independent of any actuation of the control valve. In a low pressure fuel condition, a force on the opening hydraulic surface of the needle valve member is greater than the downward force on the closing hydraulic surface thereby opening the needle valve member for producing an injection event.
Abstract:
A femur rasp fastener has a frame and a linkage. The frame has a chamber for housing the linkage. When a femur rasp is engaged with the frame and a handle of the linkage is moved, an arched and elastic suspension bar will be driven to pull a bucking hear which is engaged with a front end of the suspension bar so that the bucking head will clamp a strut in an indented recess located at one end of the femur rasp. The femur rasp thus will be held securely and continuously by the frame of the fastener.
Abstract:
This application discloses a wind pressure-driven air intake device for natural ventilation of zero power consumption. Such a device comprises multiple tunnels being arranged around a common central chamber, each having an inflow valve at its inner end connecting the central chamber and an outer end open to ambient airflow. The inflow valve allows only inward flow from a corresponding tunnel into the central chamber. The central chamber has an opening allowing airflow exit to a space to be ventilated. The device is capable of capturing ambient wind flow and wind pressure to be fed to the vented space regardless of wind flow direction towards the device, with no need for a powered air driver.
Abstract:
This invention provides a natural ventilator that is free of moving parts, wind-activated, rain-proof, and not only suitable to be a standalone natural ventilator but also advantageous to be used as an enhanced exhaust exit in a forced-air ventilation system. It can also be used as a suction generator that supplies so-called suction or negative pressure to help stabilize such building components as roof membranes by channeling the low pressure to its underneath to balance the wind uplift above. The ventilator includes a hollow base body to be secured onto an exterior surface of such enclosed objects as a building or vehicle and having a convex upper face, and a hollow raised body being supported and secured on the base body with elongated hollow members and having a convex lower face towards the base body. The elongated hollow members establish conduits that channel the internal spaces of the hollow base and raised bodies. A free space is formed between the convex faces of the base and raised bodies. Each of the said convex faces has an opening, at or near their centers and substantially facing each other. The said convex faces of the base and raised bodies are configured in such a way that the free space between the convex faces is generally narrower near the openings than away from them. This forms a first contracting and then expanding path for airflow to approach from any direction and to pass through the free space between the said convex faces, providing a venturi mechanism. The device thus creates low pressure in the free space near the openings and hence a suction effect therein, which can be readily communicated to any interior space of a building or vehicle needing air relief or suction and to be properly connected with the hollow base body.A series of enhanced rainwater-proof designs are illustrated to exemplify methods of defending the system against rainwater invasion, even if raindrop trajectory becomes highly oblique from vertical as driven by strong winds.
Abstract:
This invention provides a natural ventilator that is free of moving parts, wind-activated, rain-proof, and not only suitable to be a standalone natural ventilator but also advantageous to be used as an enhanced exhaust exit in a forced-air ventilation system. The ventilator includes a base plate to be secured onto a substantially vertical exterior surface of such enclosed objects as a building or vehicle, a substantially horizontal tube connected to at least one opening substantially centered on the base plate, and a raised body being supported and secured on the base plate with elongated members and having a convex face towards the opening on the base plate. A free space is formed between the base plate and the convex face of the raised body. The convex face of the raised body is configured in such a way that the free space between the convex face and base plate is generally narrower near the opening on the base plate than away from the opening. This forms a first contracting and then expanding path for airflow to approach from any direction and to pass through the free space along the base plate, providing a venturi mechanism. The device thus creates a low air pressure in the free space near the opening and hence a suction effect therein, and communicates the suction effect to any interior space of a building or vehicle needing air relief or suction, through the substantially horizontal tube and any connecting conduit if needed. Several example designs for the tube illustrate methods to prevent rainwater from infiltrating into the interior space that is being vented and unsightly fume condensation from drifting outwards to the building or vehicle exterior. Such devices, as configured according to the spirit of this invention, provide for a simple suction ventilator that effectively prevents rainwater from infiltrating into the interior, even if raindrop trajectory becomes highly oblique from vertical as driven by strong winds. It also substantially stops unsightly fume condensation from drifting outwards to the building or vehicle exterior.
Abstract:
A control circuit for generating a control signal to add phases to a multiphase voltage regulator. The control circuit includes an input for receiving an error correction voltage from an error amplifier of the multiphase voltage regulator and at least one output for providing a PWM control signal. Control circuitry generates at least one PWM control signal to add a phase to the multiphase voltage regulator responsive to a determination that the error correction voltage has exceeded a threshold level.
Abstract:
A personal audio device including a flexible headband is disclosed. The flexible headband includes a left and right headband portion. The headband has a longitudinal centerline which occupies a substantially single plane. The personal audio device also includes a left earphone, which is secured to a first end of the left headband portion, and a right earphone, which is secured to a first end of the right headband portion. A connector portion connects a second end of the left headband portion with a second end of the right headband portion. The connector portion is linearly adjustable, which enables a distance between the left headband portion and right headband portion to be variable. A change in the distance causes an inversely proportional change in bent compression force applied by a left earphone and applied by the right earphone.
