Abstract:
The application discloses system and method embodiments related to a frequency synthesizer. Embodiments of a frequency synthesizer can have a low phase noise and a narrow channel spacing. Embodiments of a frequency synthesizer can use two phase locked loops. One embodiment of a frequency synthesizer can include a reference frequency oscillator for outputting a signal having a reference frequency, an integer-N phase locked loop to generate a first output frequency signal based on the reference frequency signal, a fractional-N phase locked loop to generate a second output frequency based on the reference frequency signal and a circuit to generate an output frequency signal by combining the first output frequency and the second output frequency.
Abstract:
An LC-VCO includes a multivibrator which outputs a frequency signal, a fine tuning circuit which tunes the frequency signal by a first amount, a coarse tuning circuit which tunes the frequency signal by a second amount, and a control circuit which controls the fine and coarse tuning circuits. The coarse tuning circuit is formed from one or more capacitive arrays and the fine tuning circuit is formed from one or more varactors. The capacitive arrays are preferably controlled by a digital signal, where each bit selectively couples a respective capacitor to the multivibrator. An analog signal controls the value of the varactors. The capacitive arrays and varactors charge and discharge an inducator in the multivibrator to tune the frequency signal. The VCO may be incorporated within a phase-locked loop, where the capacitors may be assigned different weight and/or redundancy values to tune an output frequency signal. In one embodiment, coarse tuning and lead-lag detection is performed more accurately to allow the size of the varactors to become significantly reduced compared with other circuits which have been proposed.

Provided is a phantom device having an internal organ simulating phantom. The phantom device comprises: a phantom receiving radiation emitted from a radiation emitting unit and comprising therein a simulant that simulates an internal organ; a lifting unit installed under the phantom to support the phantom and moving the phantom relative to the radiation emitting unit, the lifting unit comprising: a worm shaft axially rotated by an external torque and having a worm formed on an outer circumferential surface thereof, a cylindrical worm wheel having gear grooves formed on an outer circumferential surface thereof to engage with the worm and a female screw formed on an inner circumferential surface thereof, and rotated by the axial rotation of the worm shaft; and a driven screw engaging with the female screw of the worm wheel, and moved up and down by the rotation of the worm wheel to move up and down the phantom; and a horizontal moving unit interlocking with the lifting unit and horizontally moving the phantom. Accordingly, since the phantom device can simulate any movement pattern, even the respiratory movement pattern of a patient's internal organ to accurately determine a desired dose of radiation to be delivered to the body part, high quality assurance of radiation therapy equipment can be achieved and therapeutic effect can be improved.
Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to provide a premixed charge compression ignition (PCCI) engine. The PCCI engine has a fuel injector (22) in a suction manifold (8) to prepare a premixed charge of fuel and air and induces a natural ignition of the premixed charge in a combustion chamber (20) of a high temperature and high pressure. The PCCI engine further includes a structurally improved connecting rod which has a spring operated in organic conjunction with the other elements of the PCCI engine. The present invention further provides a PCCI reciprocating generator that is fabricated by a combination of a reciprocating generator unit with the PCCI engine, so that the PCCI reciprocating generator operates with improved operational efficiency. In the present invention, two PCCI engines may be arranged to symmetrically face each other, thus providing a multiple PCCI engine.

A method and apparatus for editing a recorded program using a virtual file system in a personal video recorder having a large capacity recording medium, and a file structure therefor are disclosed. The method for editing a recorded program using a virtual file system (VFS) includes dividing a program file recorded in a storage unit based on edition information provided by a user to edit the program, and generating one or more virtual files mapped to the divided program file based on the edition information. Efficiency of editing a program file is enhanced and users' request for editing variably can be met.
Abstract:
A voltage-controlled oscillator including an active oscillator circuit, an inductor, and capacitive circuits is disclosed. The capacitive circuits are selectively turned on and off to control the frequency of the voltage-controlled oscillator. Particularly, the inductor and the capacitors in the capacitive circuits form LC circuits that provide feedback to the active oscillator circuit. To avoid damage to the switches in the capacitive circuits, the capacitive circuits further comprise resistors. The resistors can be configured in several different ways so that the voltage-controlled oscillator can have a high degree of reliability, and a wide tuning range with constant phase noise performance.

A method for producing a release film which is used for the manufacture of adhesive labels, double-sided tapes, etc., is disclosed. The release film provides improved adhesion between a substrate and a release layer, and excellent peel strength between the release layer and an adherent. The method includes the steps of : obtaining a silicone aqueous emulsion release liquid by dispersing a silicone aqueous release agent including a dispersion of a vinyl-modified colloidal silica, a dispersion of a platinum chelate catalyst and a polysiloxane water-dispersible silicone emulsion, in water, so as to achieve a solid content of the release liquid of 2.5˜30% by weight; and applying and drying the obtained release liquid on a substrate to form a release layer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an antistatic silicone release film having a layer coated with an antistatic silicone release composition, and, used for semiconductors, electronics and display devices while addressing problems of static electricity generated when a general release film is separated from adhesive or an adhesive layer, and of contamination by such static electricity that causes critical product defects. The invention also relates to an antistatic silicon release film that can reduce product contamination caused by static electricity in peeling the film from adhesive or an adhesive layer, and achieves close adhesion between a substrate and a coated layer because of no interruption in curing a release layer, and also thereby has a stable release property.
