    摘要: An ultrasonic motor which achieves uniform contact between the vibrating body and the moving body and features high output transfer efficiency and high reliability, and by which the manufacturing process for the moving body thereof can be simplified and the moving body made lighter.By comprising the moving body of a carbon fiber reinforced resin composite material reinforced by at least carbon fiber, and constructing the moving body with a both-side supported or single-side supported beam construction, elasticity according to the pressure of the ultrasonic motor can be imparted in the direction of pressure of the moving body. Thus, the undulations in the contact surface of the vibrating body and the moving body can be absorbed and stable, uniform contact can be assured, and long-term maintenance of a stable friction condition can be achieved.

A portion where the piezoelectric material layer is exposed from the first electrode includes a portion that is thinner than a thickness of the piezoelectric material layer between the first electrode and the second electrode. Thus, it is possible to configure a resonator with a higher frequency than its ordinary resonance, and it is easy to achieve an adjustment of the resonance frequency of the resonator, as well as improving the yield of the component and enabling the configuration of an electronic component that includes a plurality of resonators of different frequencies.

    摘要: There is provided a method for driving a piezoelectric transformer in which a driving efficiency and the reliability in terms of withstand power and distortion can be enhanced by suppressing a higher order vibration mode exited by a harmonic component other than a driving frequency included in a driving signal of the piezoelectric transformer without using an inductive element. The driving signal applied to a primary side electrode of the piezoelectric transformer is a signal in a rectangular waveform having a time period δT in which a level is a maximum potential (2V) or a minimum potential (0), obtained by multiplying a period T of the driving signal by a predetermined time ratio δ. The time ratio δ is set to be smaller than 0.5 and so as to minimize a sum of ratios of amplitudes of respective higher order vibration modes with respect to an amplitude of a vibration mode exciting the piezoelectric transformer.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for driving an ultrasonic motor of the type which includes a vibrator for causing a flexural vibration wave in response to a pair of AC driving voltage signals, and a rotor in contact with the vibrator and moved by the flexural vibration wave. The rotational speed of the ultrasonic motor is controlled by using a feedback signal and a data table, the feedback signal indicating the current rotational speed of the ultrasonic motor, and the data table storing values of the feedback signal as a standard function of the rotational 21 speed. The method includes the step of sampling the feedback signal and detecting the rotational speed in a plurality of rotation states of the ultrasonic motor. The method obtains an approximate function representing the relationship between the sampled feedback signal and the detected rotational speed of the ultrasonic motor, and calculates correction coefficients for adjusting the approximate function to the standard function. The method then controls the rotational speed of the ultrasonic motor by using the feedback signal. In the controlling step, the method corrects the feedback signal obtained from the ultrasonic motor by using the correction coefficient, whereby a value of the approximate function is transformed into a corresponding value of the standard function.

The loudspeaker has a wider directivity than the parametric speakers. The drivers change directions of the parametric speakers, respectively. The parametric speakers and the drivers constitute at least two parametric speaker units each composed of respective one of the parametric speakers and respective one of the drivers. The controller reproduces sound information based the number of persons in front of the display detected from an output from the human-body senor. The sound reproducing device reduces the possibility for a number of persons to hear the sound noisily, and allows drawing more attention to the content, e.g. an advertisement.
