Abstract:
A plasma excitation system includes at least one DC current supply connected to a mains supply, at least one medium frequency (MF) unit connected to the at least one DC current supply for generating an AC voltage at its output, and a controller. The output of the MF unit is connected to electrodes of a coating chamber. The controller is connected to the at least one DC current supply for regulating and/or controlling an output value of the DC current supply, and is also connected to the at least one MF unit for regulating and/or controlling an output value of the MF unit. The controller includes at least one input interface for supplying a value describing an output value of the at least one MF unit, and at least one control output interface for connecting a control input of the at least one MF unit.
Abstract:
New methods are used for detecting arcs in a plasma process that is fed by, for example, a freely oscillating AC generator with an output signal of the AC generator for supplying power. The method includes measuring or determining a reference value that is based on a time response of the output signal or of an internal signal of the AC generator relating to the output signal. The methods also include comparing the reference value with a threshold value and detecting an arc when a predetermined result of the comparison is obtained.
Abstract:
In a method and apparatus for controlling a driving engine/transmission unit having a continuously variable automatic transmission, the transmission output torque acting upon the driving wheels of a vehicle and the engine reaction torque retroacting upon the driving engine can be adjusted by way of a regulated transmission variable. For operating the control as both a torque and transmission ratio regulator, it is suggested to predefine a desired transmission output torque, and to determine the regulated transmission variable, the transmission output power, a transmission power loss, the power requirement of the driving engine (from the transmission output power and the transmission power loss), a desired engine torque and a desired rotational engine speed, a corrected desired engine torque and/or a corrected desired transmission output torque in conjunction with a change of the regulated transmission variable (torque regulator operation) and/or a desired transmission ratio and a desired engine torque with a change of the regulated transmission variable, in such a manner that a determined actual transmission ratio coincides with a calculated desired transmission ratio (transmission ratio regulator operation).
Abstract:
A machine for producing small mounds of a solidifiable substance, especially an almond fragments/chocolate mass mixture, includes a plurality of adjacent troughs which delimit respective substantially coextensive parallel channels, each of which includes a succession of an upstream mixing section, an intermediate sieving section, and a downstream settling section, which opens onto an unloading conveyor. The substance is introduced in a predetermined quantity into the respective mixing sections, at which it is subsequently engaged and advanced by one of a plurality of individual pusher elements of a multiple pusher. The multiple pusher moves, during each cycle of operation, through an advancement movement, during which the metered quantity of the substance is advanced by a predetermined distance through the mixing, sieving or settling channel section, in that order, a lifting stroke during which all of the individual pusher elements are moved opposite to the advancement direction outside the channel, and a lowering stroke, during which the individual pusher elements re-enter the channel.
Abstract:
The method for throttling uplink traffic in a wireless communication system includes inserting an unassigned state flag in a downlink time slot. A state flag indicates, when assigned, which mobile station should transmit during an uplink time slot associated with the downlink time slot.
Abstract:
An arc suppression arrangement suppresses arcs in a gas discharge device that is operated with an alternating voltage from a power supply. The arc suppression arrangement includes an arc suppression device and an arc identification device that controls the arc suppression device. The arc suppression device includes at least one controllable resistor that is connected in series in an electrical line that extends from an alternating voltage source to an electrode of the gas discharge device. An arc can thereby be prevented from being provided with energy.
Abstract:
What is proposed is a variator disk for a toroidal variator, in particular for a motor vehicle toroidal transmission. The variator disk has a curved running surface which is oriented coaxially with respect to a variator axis and on which rollers of the toroidal variator can roll. The variator disk having furthermore at least two partial disks which are designed as a traction disk, on which the running surface is formed, and as a supporting disk, respectively. The supporting disk is designed for supporting axial forces applied to the running surface. The traction disk is supported on the supporting disk in the radial direction to the variator axis.
