Abstract:
A continuous electrolytic treatment apparatus for anodic oxidation and electrolytic coloring operations on an object such as a strip, wire or foil of aluminum and its alloys, wherein there are provided electric field buffer means which comprises a plurality of self-standing plates of plastic resin or the like having an electrically insulating property. The electric field buffer means are located at least in one zone in the electrolytic cell so that it can serves to effectively buffer concentration of excessive electric current to the interface between the object and the electrolytic solution at the above mentioned zone, thereby preventing burning in the surface of the object or in the oxide film formed thereon during the anodic oxidation treatment and unevenness in coloring of the object during the electrolytic coloring operation due to such current concentration, particularly when treating with a high current density.
Abstract:
The invention provides an electrically conductive polyaniline composition comprising polyaniline which contains at least one of novolac resins selected from the group consisting of phenolsulfonic acid novolac resin and naphtholsulfonic acid novolac resin as a dopant. The electrically conductive polyaniline composition is obtained by contacting polyaniline with an aqueous solution of the novolac resin to dope the polyaniline with the novolac resin. The invention further provides an electrically conductive polyaniline film which comprises the polyaniline containing the novolac resin as a dopant. The electrically conductive polyaniline film is obtained by contacting film of polyaniline with an aqueous solution of the novolac resin to dope the polyaniline.
Abstract:
The invention provides a fuel cell which comprises a solid polymer electrolyte sandwiched between a cathode to which an oxidizing agent gas is supplied and an anode to which a reducing agent gas is supplied, wherein at least one of the electrodes has an electroconductive organic polymer which has an oxidation-reduction function as an electrode catalyst. The invention further provides a fuel cell in which the electrode catalyst comprises a mixture of an electroconductive organic polymer and an inorganic oxidation-reduction catalyst, and has a higher output power.
Abstract:
A focused ion beam apparatus having two pieces of probers brought into contact with two points of a surface of a sample, a voltage source for applying a constant voltage between the two points with which the probers are brought into contact, and an ammeter for measuring a current flowing between the two points, in which a conductive film is formed to narrow a gap thereof between the two points by operating a deflection electrode and a gas gun and the current flowing between the two points is monitored, and when the current becomes a predetermined value, a focused charged particle beam irradiated to the surface of the sample is made OFF by the blanking electrode.
Abstract:
An upper clamping device and a lower clamping device are provided for clamping a double-sided optical disc in cooperation with the upper clamping device. An annular holder is axially movably provided in the upper clamping device. A plurality of spheres are radially movably mounted on the holder. A hub having a slant at a periphery thereof is axially movably provided. When the hub is downwardly moved the slant urges the spheres to engage them with an inside wall of a center hole of the optical disc. Thus, the optical disc is centered.
Abstract:
A double-side playing optical disk player which plays both sides of a disk placed on a turntable by driving and guiding a carriage carrying an optical pickup with a guide driving mechanism along both surfaces of the disk. The guide driving mechanism is composed of first and second guide mechanisms disposed on respective sides of the disk-carrying surface of the turntable, and a transfer mechanism for transferring the carriage between prescribed engaging/disengaging positions on the front and rear sides of the disk.
Abstract:
A thienotriazolodiazepine compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein A is alkylene or substituted alkylene and each other symbol is as defined in the specification and a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, and pharmaceutical uses thereof.Said compounds exhibit PAF-antagonistic activity and are useful for the prevention or treatment of various PAF-induced diseases.
Abstract:
A rangefinder mechanism is shown in which the scanning mirror has been replaced with a movable scanning optic. The automatic rangefinder system includes a pair of optical paths, one a reference path and the other a scanned path, which are lead to impinge upon a photosensitive surface for comparison purposes. The output of the photosensitive surface is used to adjust the main lens of the camera. The range of the movable optic is coordinated with the position of the main lens of the camera as feedback and adjustment of the rangefinder.
Abstract:
A rangefinder mechanism is shown in which the scanning mirror has been reced with a movable scanning optic. The automatic rangefinder system includes a pair of optical paths one a reference path and the other a scanned path which are led to impinge upon a photosensitive surface for comparison purposes. The output of the photosensitive surface is used to adjust the main lens of the camera. Disposed in front of the movable optic is another optical movable relative thereto to coordinate with the position of the main lens of the camera as feedback and adjust the rangefinder system.
