Abstract:
A method and arrangement for controlling a system of multiple traffic signals for regulating the traffic of vehicles is described. Traffic data is transmitted by wireless transmission to traffic data processing units assigned individually to a locally limited group of traffic signals, and each traffic data processing unit performs an analysis of the local traffic situation for the environment of the locally limited group of traffic signals up to, at the maximum, the neighboring locally limited groups of traffic signals.
Abstract:
A data packet is sent from a first radio station to several second radio stations in a transmission channel, whereby the data packet is provided with a first error protection for a first transmission over the radio interface. Subsequently, the data packet is sent by the first radio station to the second radio station at least one further time, whereby the data packet is provided with a second error protection for further transmission over the radio interface, which has a higher redundancy than the first error protection.
Abstract:
One embodiment includes a method and apparatus for allocating resources for the streaming of multimedia content in a network. The method includes analyzing multimedia content to determine media characteristics of the multimedia content, receiving a request to access the multimedia content from a user, and sending a request for resources for the multimedia content to a traffic management node. The request for resources includes the determined media characteristics of the multimedia content.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for traffic flow treatment in a core network of a communication network. The method may comprise receiving cell information from an access network of the communication network, wherein the received cell information comprises an indication of a congested cell of the communication network. Furthermore, the method may comprise receiving subscriber specific information comprising real-time information of a subscriber in a cell of the communication network. The method may further comprise analyzing the received subscriber specific information and controlling the traffic flow in the core network according to the analysis of the subscriber specific information.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods, apparatus and systems for enabling an improved Web-Telco Convergence, in particular for telecommunication session oriented service. A Web-Telco Convergence Function may identify user interface relevant information in telecommunication protocol messages relating to a telecommunication session oriented service for a user and transmits the identified user interface relevant information to a Virtual Terminal Function. The Virtual Terminal Function may obtain web assets based on the user interface relevant information and generate a user interface description. An address of the location of the user interface description may be transmitted to the Web-Telco Convergence Function which may transmit the address to a user device.

Abstract:
A mobile communications system (100), comprising at least one mobile terminal (200), a plurality of base stations (300a-300e), at least one central entity (400) adapted to manage said plurality of base stations, adapted to perform a handover, wherein: —said mobile terminal (200) is adapted to transmit a handover request message in a pre-defined slot requesting a new point of attachment; —said plurality of base stations (300a-300e) are adapted to receive said handover request message and further adapted to determine which one of said plurality of base stations (300a-300e) is to become said new point of attachment; —a base station (300a) arranged to become said new point of attachment is further adapted to transmit a handover response message to said mobile terminal (200); —said mobile terminal (200) is adapted to receive said handover response message and to change its point of attachment.
Abstract:
A method transmits data by radio during which a frequency band is split into a plurality of subcarriers, and a plurality of antennas are used for transmitting. The data are split into a number of elements, which are to be respectively transmitted by each antenna, said number of elements corresponding to the number of subcarriers, whereby for each antenna, each element is respectively assigned to a subcarrier for transmitting, and at least two antennas on at least one subcarrier transmit different elements. Before an OFDM modulation for each antenna, each element is multiplied by an antenna-specific and element-specific factor. Alternatively, after an OFDM modulation for at least one antenna, the time sequence of the time-dependent signal generated on the basis of the OFDM modulation is reordered. A transmitter carries out the method.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for transmitting signals in a radio communication system consisting of at least two frequency signal-transmitting channels. At least the first (fcoord) of said frequency channels is used for organizing radio resources, and at least the second (fi) of the frequency channels is used for transmitting signals between the stations of the system where the signal transmission is carried out by the frequency channels from/in a direction of said stations in conformity with a predefined temporal pattern (P1, P2, P3).
