    Abstract: A system may maintain historical vehicle information, collected from multiple vehicles in a vehicle transportation network, in a historical database. The historical vehicle information for a vehicle may include historical data elements corresponding to data types. The system may receive a user request via a communications network. The system may determine, based on the user request, to respond with a historical data element from the historical database or a current data element from current vehicle information collected from a current vehicle that is active in the vehicle transportation network. The system may return a response to the user request via the communications network. The response may include the historical data element or the current data element.

    Abstract: A vehicle hood lever assembly has a latch mechanism, a latch lever and a striker structure. The latch mechanism has a latching member movable between a hood locking orientation and a hood unlocking orientation. The latch lever attaches to the latch mechanism at a location spaced apart from the latching member movable between a hood catching orientation and a hood release orientation. The striker structure has a main striker member and a secondary striker member. With the striker structure moving toward the latch mechanism, a surface of the secondary striker member contacts a portion of the latch lever moving the latch lever from the hood release orientation to the hood catching orientation. In response to continued movement of the striker structure toward the latch mechanism, the main striker member engages the latching member and is restrained against further movement with the latching member being moved into the hood locking orientation.

    Abstract: A rear door assembly having a bracket, a rear door, a first movement mechanism and a second movement mechanism. The rear door has a lateral side with a slot formed therein. The first movement mechanism is attached to a rearward area of a vehicle body structure and is configured to move the bracket and the rear door from a closed orientation covering a rear opening in the vehicle body structure to at least an intermediate orientation partially uncovering the rear opening. The second movement mechanism is disposed within the rear door to move the rear door relative to the support pins of the bracket along the slot.

    Abstract: A vehicle door is disclosed that includes: an outer panel; an inner panel located inboard of the outer panel; a window channel; a window glass; a structural beam; and a reinforcement member supported by the inner panel and the structural beam so as to inhibit force transmission through the vehicle door during a side impact. The window glass is movable within a window slot collectively defined by the outer panel and the inner panel. The window channel is supported by the inner panel, extends in generally orthogonal relation to the window slot, and is configured to receive the window glass such that the window glass is movable therethrough. The structural beam is supported by the inner panel and defines a longitudinal axis. The structural beam is configured such that the longitudinal axis extends in generally parallel relation to the window slot and in generally orthogonal relation to the window channel.
