Abstract:
A powered surgical apparatus can be used with a source of irrigation fluid and a source of suction. The powered surgical apparatus can include a cutting blade assembly and a handle. The handle can include an upper portion defining a distal section connectable to the cutting blade assembly and a lower portion extending downwardly from the upper portion. The handle can be connectable to the source of irrigation fluid and the source of suction. The system can also include a manually actuable input device that provides at least one signal relevant to at least one operation of the system, and a controller that receives the at least one input signal and provides an output signal to perform the at least one operation of the system.
Abstract:
A needle mounting assembly for mounting a pen needle in fluid communication with a medication cartridge includes a collet and a stop collar. The collet defines an opening in which is slidably fittable the outlet end of the cartridge, and the collet is shiftable relative to the cartridge outlet end between a first and a second axial position. The collet includes a base and a plurality of fingers that are forward of the base. When the collet is disposed in the first axial position, the fingers are disposed in a first radial arrangement in which a needle hub of the pen needle can be freely axially placed onto and freely axially removed from the fingers. When the collet is moved to the second position the fingers are shifted by engagement with the cartridge outlet end to a second radial arrangement to operationally secure the needle hub while the pen needle pierces the cartridge septum. The movement of the collet back to the first position proceeds in reversed order enabling free axial removal of the needle hub from the mounting assembly.
Abstract:
A graphical user interface including a controller for redistributing funds between a first account and a second account. The controller includes a slidable element positionable over a fixed background element to define a first segment and a second segment of the background element. A length of the first segment is representative of a balance of the first account, and a length of the second segment is representative of a balance of the second account.
Abstract:
A binder mechanism is disclosed having a first ring assembly and a binding portion. The first ring assembly includes at least one first ring half. At least the first ring assembly or the binding portion are a pivotable half that is pivotable with respect to the other to a locked position about a first longitudinal axis. In the locked position, the first ring half is engaged with the binding portion cooperatively defining a loop that is substantially closed to retain a stack of papers or a workpiece. The first ring assembly and the binding portion are lockable with respect to each other in the locked position to prevent pivoting of the pivotable half from the locked position. At least one of the first ring assembly and the binding portion is movable with respect to the other from the locked position in an unlocking direction oriented at less than 180° from the longitudinal axis to permit the pivotable half to pivot about the longitudinal axis to an open position in which the loop is substantially open.
Abstract:
A dispensing lid assembly for use with a container assembly and a container assembly including the lid assembly. The lid assembly can be attached to a container liner of the container assembly. The lid assembly includes a spigot housing through which liquids are dispensed. The spigot housing is configured with a grip portion which facilitates tipping of the container assembly with the lid assembly attached thereto. A dispensing conduit is provided in the lid assembly which communicates with a cavity in the container liner. A spring loaded valve assembly is retained in the spigot housing to controllably dispense liquids from the container liner through the dispensing conduit. A check valve assembly is included in the lid assembly. The check valve assembly provides controlled introduction of air into the container to equalize the pressure in the cavity during dispensing. The container assembly also includes a bottom or foot which is partially rounded to facilitate tipping of the container assembly to place a nozzle of the lid assembly in a dispensing position and to return the assembly to an upright position to prevent dripping.
Abstract:
Computer implemented methods of tracking customer spending and income are provided. The methods may comprise aggregating spending transactions by estimating income to a customer during a first time period. The methods may also comprise displaying a user interface to the customer. The user interface may comprise a first bar indicating customer income and a second bar indicating customer spending.
