The laser controller can generate an electronic representation of a modified scan pattern in relation to the image generated by the SD-OCT imaging system, and control the guiding optic to scan a second set of laser pulses according the modified scan pattern.

Implementations of the described methods and apparatus include a laser treatment of a lens of an eye includes defining a target boundary of a target region in the lens, applying surgical laser pulses to the target boundary effectively resulting in a separation of the target region from the rest of the lens, and removing the separated target region from the lens. The target boundary can be defined by applying marker laser pulses to outline the target boundary. The marker laser pulses can be applied by a laser source using marker pulse settings and the surgical laser pulses can be applied by the same laser source using surgical pulse settings.

    摘要: A system and method for preparation of donor corneal tissue is disclosed. The system includes two surgical lasers. The first surgical laser is adapted to incise a recipient cornea to enable resection of recipient corneal tissue. The second surgical laser is adapted to incise a donor cornea to enable resection of donor corneal tissue. Both surgical lasers are adapted to make corneal incisions which are defined by incision parameters. Further, both surgical lasers are calibrated to make substantially precise corneal incisions when provided with identical incision parameters.

    摘要: A device for removing gas and debris from the stroma of an eye during ophthalmic laser surgery includes a contact lens that is formed with a recessed chamber. The device also includes a suction pump that is connected in fluid communication with the recessed chamber. In operation, the stroma is stabilized in the recessed chamber of the contact lens and an opening into the stroma is created. This opening is created either by the laser beam, or by a probe that is mounted on the contact lens to penetrate the stroma while the stroma is stabilized in the recessed chamber of the contact lens. Then, simultaneously or subsequently, as a laser beam is directed through the contact lens to photodisrupt tissue in the stroma the suction pump is activated to aspirate the resultant gas and debris through the opening and out of the stroma.
