    摘要: A backlight module adapted to a display device for displaying multiple image frames to form an image. Herein the backlight module includes multiple light-emitting units and a driving circuit. The light-emitting units are arranged along a first direction. The driving circuit is electrically coupled to the light-emitting units to thereby drive the light-emitting units sequentially to emit light. During the driving circuit drives the light-emitting units, a light-emitting time of the firstly-turned-on light-emitting unit in the light-emitting units for illuminating a current image frame of the image frames has a portion in an image driving time of the current image frame, and the other portion of the light-emitting time is in the image driving time of a successive image frame immediately following the current image frame. Moreover, the disclosure also provides a display system using the above backlight module and a driving method of backlight module.

The pixel array has first through fourth pixels. Each of the first through fourth pixels includes first through fourth sub-pixels. In the display device driving method, each of the first through fourth pixels is provided with a data signal. At least one colored sub-pixel is enabled to display a second gray level in turns in multiple frames of a same frequency period, and the remained sub-pixels are enabled to display a first gray level smaller than the second gray level.

    摘要: A display device and a display panel and a color filter thereof are provided. The color filter includes a transparent substrate, at least a red filter film, at least a green filter film, at least a plurality of blue filter film and at least a white filter film. The red filter films, the green filter films, the blue filter films and the white filter films are disposed on the transparent substrate. The blue filter films have a first largest transmittance when a light with first wavelength transmits it. The green filter films have a second largest transmittance when a light with second wavelength transmits it. The white filter films have a third largest transmittance when a light with third wavelength transmits it. The third largest transmittance is larger than the first largest transmittance and the second largest transmittance. The third wavelength is between the first wavelength and the second wavelength. Therefore, the images displayed by the display device with the color filter may have accurate color-level and high brightness.

The color filter is disposed between two polarizing plates so as to measure a first spectrum of dark state a(λ), wherein the polarizing directions of the polarizers are orthogonal to each other. A second spectrum of dark state b(λ) while the color filter is removed, and then a ratio spectrum of light leakage intensity I(λ)=(a(λ)/b(λ)) is determined. A maximum value P1 in the ratio spectrum of light leakage intensity is determined in a wavelength region in which the ratio spectrum of light leakage intensity of green photoresist overlaps that of a blue photoresist. An average value P1,avg of several ratios of light leakage intensity around the value P1, and an average value P2,avg of several ratios of light leakage intensity around the value P2 are determined.     摘要: Various arrangements of color sub-pixels in a group of pixels for use in a color display are disclosed. The same group of pixels is repetitively arranged in rows and columns in the color display. In particular, each group of pixels has four pixels arranged on the four quadrants of a rectangle or square. A pixel group may have two sub-pixels in R, two sub-pixels in G, two sub-pixels in B and two sub-pixels in W, but each of the pixels has two different color sub-pixels. In each of the four pixels in a pixel group, the two sub-pixels can be adjacent to each other along the column direction or along the row direction, but the two sub-pixels in at least one pixel are adjacent to each other along the column direction. A pixel group may have two pixels with R, G sub-pixels and two pixels in B.
