Abstract:
Methods for identifying ubiquitin ligases and ubiquitin ligase modulators are disclosed. The methods comprise combining the components of a ubiquitylation reaction and using proteins that contain motifs that recognize ubiquitylated sites in the detection of ubiquitylation.
Abstract:
A redox cell rebalance system is provided. In some embodiments, the rebalance system includes electrochemical cell and a photochemical cell. In some embodiments, the photochemical cell contains a source of ultraviolet radiation for producing HCl from H2 and Cl2 generated by the system. The HCl product may be collected or circulated back through the system for the rebalancing of electrolytes. A rebalance cell for use in a rebalance system is also provided. In some embodiments, the rebalance cell is the combination of an electrochemical cell and a photochemical cell. In some embodiments, a source of ultraviolet radiation is housed in the cathode compartment of the rebalance cell. In some embodiments, the source of ultraviolet radiation is used to effect the formation of HCl from H2 and Cl2 present in the rebalance cell. The HCl is dissolved in aqueous electrolytes contained in the rebalance cell, which can subsequently be circulated through a rebalance system for the rebalancing of redox cells.
Abstract:
A system and method for managing a route cache to reduce the risk of disruption from denial of service attacks. All traffic arriving on a front interface from local (on-link) nodes (e.g., neighbor nodes) can be treated normally. However, for packets arriving from remote (off-link) sources addressed to a given destination IP address, a single, shared route cache entry can be used. The source-address field in this entry can be zeroed-out since it will not be used for traffic coming from any one source. Similarly, for all packets going to off-link destinations through the front-interface, another single shared route cache entry can be created and used. The destination-address field in this entry can be zeroed out since it will not be used for traffic going to any one destination.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for automating an invoice approval process are described herein. Rules are created which are evaluated against a set of attributes. A rules engine is automatically invoked upon receipt of a document in an electronic invoice presentment and payment system. The rules engine determines which rules are applicable to documents received and processed in the system, and applies those applicable rules in a pre-defined sequence.
Abstract:
In various embodiments, a method is described that includes registering a mobile device with an enterprise by storing registration data for the mobile device in a device management database; designating one or more group designations for the mobile device; storing the one or more group designations in the device management database; determining one or more policies for the mobile device based at least in part on the one or more group designations; and selectively taking action on selected data from the mobile device in the device management database based on the one or more policies.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for extensible real-time workflows are described. The present invention allows a user of a transaction processing system, such as a customer relationship management (CRM) tool or an automatic call distribution (ACD), for example, to easily add new event sources without recompiling the core workflow server engine of the transaction processing system. The invention also supports features such as the adding of new services, the exchange of events and parameters with other systems, real-time collection and display of workflow statistical information, the use of a centralized configuration database, incremental loading and unloading of workflows and rules, and exception handling.
Abstract:
A wireless interface device is used to RF communicate between a computer system and input devices comprising a keyboard and a mouse. The interface device comprises a radio transmitter and receiver, wherein a modem encodes data to be sent by the radio transmitter and decodes data received by the radio receiver. A baseband circuit encrypts data to be transmitted and decrypts received data. The wireless interface device has power saving functions to extend the battery life of the input device and has the capability to automatically select between several communication frequencies or channels as well as automatically select between RF data rates.
Abstract:
The presently described embodiments relate to a method for handling data sessions performed using tethered user devices in a network. The presently described embodiments are directed to network functionality to receive a tethered device indicator by a network element. The tethered device indicator, in at least one form, originates from a request from a user device. The indicator is then detected by the network and, based on the indicator, a variety of functions may be performed. For example, a network element may determine that a data session is not proper and, therefore, reject the data session that is requested by the user device. Alternatively, the network element may determine that the data session request is proper. In this case, the data session will be managed based on the indicator.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an herbal ophthalmic composition of Withania somnifera and Areca catechu, which reduces intra ocular pressure of eyes in a synergistic manner. A composition of Withania somnifera and Areca catechu acts synergistically with the other ingredients when formulated as a composition of the present invention.
Abstract:
An electronic catalog system includes automated processes for detecting and handling specific types of browsing events, such as non-conversion events in which users browse but fail to purchase specific items. In one embodiment, when a user engages in a threshold level of browsing activity with respect to an item without making a purchase of that item or a substitute item, and a favorable change in the item's state thereafter occurs (e.g., the price is reduced or the item becomes available), the user is automatically notified of the state change. In another embodiment, when a user transitions away from an item or item category after engaging in a threshold level of browsing activity, a determination is made whether to present to the user a time-limited purchase incentive that is tied to that item or item category.
