    Abstract: A haptic element having a rotating element at least partially fixed to the rotating shaft of a motor. The rotating element dynamically reconfigures its center of mass to provide at least a first concentric rotation state and second eccentric rotation state. The transition between the concentric state and the eccentric state may be at least partially defined by a threshold angular velocity of the rotating shaft of the motor. As the motor approaches the threshold, the rotating element may be concentrically aligned with the axis of rotation of the rotating shaft of the motor. Once the threshold is reached, the mass element may be eccentrically aligned with the axis of rotation, initiating an immediate and perceivable haptic feedback.

    Abstract: An electronic device may have a housing such as a metal housing. Openings may be formed in the housing to accommodate a button, to form a camera window, to form a microphone port, and to form a camera flash window. An input-output component mounting member may be used to mount input-output components to the housing of the electronic device. The input-output component mounting member may have a recess that mates with a corresponding protrusion on the housing. Screws may attach the input-output component mounting member to the housing. The protrusion and recess in the input-output component mounting member may ensure that the input-output component mounting member is accurately aligned with respect to the housing. Input-output components such as a microphone, button switch, camera, and camera flash may be mounted to the electronic device with the input-output component mounting member.

    Abstract: An electronic device may have electrical components such as input-output devices. An electrical component may be mounted on a flexible printed circuit. The flexible printed circuit may have a bend that forms a flexible printed circuit spring to bias the electrical component in a desired direction. The electronic device may have a display with a display cover layer. In an inactive display area, opaque masking material may be formed on the display cover layer. A light window may be formed in the opaque masking layer. The flexible printed circuit spring may bias the electrical component against the display cover layer in alignment with the light window. An air gap under the electrical component may separate the component from a planar portion of the flexible printed circuit that is overlapped by the electrical component. The electrical component may be a camera, a light sensor, or other device.

The connector body of a cable assembly may be widened to provide the structural rigidity sufficient to support an array of solder lead connections.
