摘要: In multicarrier networks mobile devices can be distributed amongst carriers based on different criteria. However, prioritization may cause certain devices to end up on a carrier that is not optimal for the network. When there is a deployment of different types of cells (e.g., macro cells, small cells, etc.), the cells can use the same frequency. Consequently, a priority value contained within a system information broadcast message can override the mobile default cell transition procedures and thus select a neighboring cell based on additional criteria. Thus, small cells can be deployed to offload traffic from macro cells in spite of the small cells and macro cells operating in the same frequency band.

摘要: Beamforming techniques can improve base station transmission power and user equipment (UE) sensitivity reception. For example, beamforming can create a narrow beam, which can concentrate signal power in a much smaller region. Combined with base station (gNB) requests and UE location data, an accurate beam can be generated to cover a desired area. 5G base station broadcasts can utilize a globally unique cell identifier (e.g., physical cell identifier), and a locally unique cell identifier (e.g., new radio cell global identifier) to facilitate beamforming and mitigate handover failure.

摘要: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining a preliminary transmission received from a first wireless access terminal of a wireless network, at a mobile terminal, wherein the obtaining of the preliminary transmission occurs before a successful completion of an attachment process between the mobile terminal and the first wireless access terminal, and wherein access to a network resource by the mobile terminal via the wireless network requires a successful completion of the attachment process. A physical relationship is determined between the mobile terminal and the first wireless access terminal according to the preliminary transmission, resulting in a determined physical relationship. The determined physical relationship is compared to a predetermined threshold value to obtain a comparison result and successful completion of the attachment process is prevented based on the comparison result indicating a suspect condition. Other embodiments are disclosed.

摘要: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, providing, over a mobile network, first instructions to a first serving base station to indicate to a first communication device communicatively coupled to the first serving base station to obtain a beam bitmap of a group of base stations in proximity to the first serving base station. Further embodiments can include receiving, over the mobile network, the beam bitmap from the first serving base station, and determining a beam density for each of the group of base stations. Additional embodiments can include adjusting a neighbor list to include the beam density for each of the group of base stations resulting in an adjusted neighbor list. Other embodiments are disclosed.

摘要: The technologies described herein are generally directed to providing internetwork coverage to user equipment affected by a temporary network outage in a fifth generation (5G) network or other next generation networks. For example, a method described herein can include identifying an outage area associated with an incident. The method can further include, based on the outage area, identifying a user equipment affected by a coverage interruption. Further, the method can include communicating a notification comprising an identification of the user equipment as being affected by the coverage interruption, the second network equipment is part of a second communication network based on the outage area, identify a user equipment affected by a coverage based on the outage area interruption based on coverage being available to the user equipment, after the coverage interruption, via the second communication network.

摘要: The technologies described herein are generally directed to providing, based on a paging message, radio resources to facilitate a transition to active mode by idle user equipment in a fifth generation (5G) network or other next generation networks. An example method can include identifying an idle mode activation message. The method can further include, based on the activation message, predicting that the user device is going to request an active connection. Further, the method can include prioritizing allocation of antenna resources to the user device over different user devices in an idle state, based on a prediction that the user device will transition to an active state before the different user devices. Further, the method can include, based on the prioritizing, directing a base station to cause a beamformed signal to a predicted location of the user device to accept the active connection.

摘要: An architecture to dynamically create fifth generation technology based geofences around defined areas to ensure the safe operation of user equipment (UE). A method can comprise determining that first serving cell equipment is servicing an aerial user equipment determining that the first serving cell equipment has enabled beamforming, determining that a first beam of a group of beams is being used to service the aerial user equipment, determining a second beam of the group of beams that the first serving cell equipment will use to service to the aerial user equipment, determining that a handover event from the first serving cell equipment to a second serving cell equipment will occur, and causing the first serving cell equipment to adjust an emitted power level associated with the second beam.
