摘要: Changes in the number of passengers or in load cause significant changes in vehicle weight, thus making it impossible to appropriately suppress a pitching motion of a vehicle chassis, hence rendering a necessary driving torque difficult to ensure, resulting in a decrease in drivability being insuppressible. An electric vehicle with a drive including a motor and a controller comprises a pitching quantity detector that detects a magnitude of a pitching motion of the vehicle, a vehicle weight determination unit that determines weight of the vehicle, a torque correction calculator that uses a traveling state of the vehicle and the determined vehicle weight to change a driving torque output from the drive, and a control gain varying element that adjusts a control gain of the torque correction calculator according to a magnitude of the vehicle weight value output from the vehicle weight determination unit.

摘要: An apparatus and method for determining whether the meaning of a word included in an electronic message needs to be presented to a user, according to a dynamic determination whether the user currently knows the meaning of the word. In a client, a communication control unit receives a message sent from a user A to a user B, a morphological analysis unit extracts a word from the message, and a history acquisition unit acquires history information on viewing, usage, or the like of the word by the user B. A display determination unit determines whether the meaning of the word needs to be displayed, according to the acquired history information, the language level of the user B stored in a user level storage unit, and the difficulty level of the word stored in a dictionary storage unit. An input/output control unit performs control such that the meaning of the word is presented to the user B according to the determination result.

摘要: An image pickup apparatus capable of capturing a composite image of a visible-light image and an infrared image of a subject is provided, whereby the configuration is simplified and made more convenient. A visible-light source (20) and an excitation-light source (22) for exciting a phosphorescent substance are provided as a light source (6) for a subject that includes an infrared-fluorescent substance. The light from the subject is passed through an optical filter (10) and directed into a CCD image sensor (12). The optical filter (10) cuts excitation light and transmits fluorescent light. The transmittance of visible light by the optical filter (10) is set lower than the transmittance of fluorescent light so that the weak infrared image from the fluorescent light is clearly displayed over the visible-light image. Since the CCD image sensor (12) is sensitive to infrared light as well as to visible light, an image signal is outputted for the composite image according to the incident light from the optical filter (10).

摘要: An object of the invention is to carry out the flux method with improved work efficiency while maintaining the purity of flux at high level and saving flux material cost. The sodium-purifying apparatus includes a sodium-holding-and-management apparatus for maintaining purified sodium (Na) in a liquid state. Liquid sodium is supplied into a sodium-holding-and-management apparatus through a liquid-sodium supply piping maintained at 100° C. to 200° C. The sodium-holding-and-management apparatus further has an argon-gas-purifying apparatus for controlling the condition of argon (Ar) gas that fills the internal space thereof. Thus, by opening and closing a faucet at desired timing, purified liquid sodium (Na) supplied from the sodium-purifying apparatus can be introduced into a crucible as appropriate via the liquid-sodium supply piping, the sodium-holding-and-management apparatus, and the piping.
