摘要: A tire noise reduction device includes at least one noise absorbing member made of a porous material. The noise absorbing member is attached to the inner surface of the tire tread portion. The noise absorbing member includes multiple continuous grooves arranged side by side in a tire circumferential direction in the outer peripheral surface of the noise absorbing member. Each of the continuous grooves has an areal groove bottom and forms see-through regions in the width direction of the noise absorbing member. A groove edge-to-edge distance between each adjacent two of the continuous grooves in the tire circumferential direction is 2 mm to 40 mm. A largest see-through cross-sectional area of each continuous groove is 20 mm2 to 100 mm2.

A noise-reducing device, which includes a shell structure where a rough surface portion having a ten-point height of irregularities (Rz) in a range of 0.1 to 5.0 mm is provided on at least part of a surface, is attached to a wheel rim in a cavity portion of a pneumatic tire, and additionally, a height of the shell structure from a rim sheet is set in a range of 10 to 70% of a cross-sectional height of the tire.

摘要: Disclosed is a low noise pneumatic tire in which a plurality of noise absorbing members of a porous material are attached to the tire inner peripheral surface with intervals in the tire circumferential direction. The number of the noise absorbing members is from 5 to 50. The total length obtained by integrating the lengths of the noise absorbing members in the tire circumferential direction is not less than 75% of the tire maximum inner peripheral length. The distance between each adjacent two of the noise absorbing members is equal to or more than the maximum thickness of the noise absorbing members at the end portions thereof in the tire circumferential direction, while being not more than 15% of the tire maximum inner peripheral length.

摘要: A pneumatic tire having at least two belt plies provided radially outwardly of a carcass ply in the tread. A belt cover ply is disposed radially outwardly of the at least two belt plies. The belt cover ply has reinforcing cords that extend in the circumferential direction of the tire and is covered with coating rubber. The belt cover ply extends beyond the edges of one of the at least two belt plies having a maximum belt width to have extension portions that extend at least 10 mm axially of the tire therefrom. The coating rubber of at least the extension portions of the belt cover ply is formed of rubber having a tan delta at a temperature of 60.degree. C. that is equal to or less than 0.1, and the ratio h/SH of a tire radial-direction length h between the edges of the extension portions and the edges of the belt ply having the maximum belt width to the tire section height SH is equal to or less than 1.5/100.

摘要: The present inventions are a run-flat tire and a tire/wheel assembly in which the workability of the tire-to-rim fit has been improved while including a core-type run-flat support member. The tire/wheel assembly is formed by fitting a pneumatic tire into a wheel rim. In the tire/wheel assembly, the run-flat support member constituted of a circular shell and elastic rings is inserted into a cavity of the pneumatic tire, in which the circular shell has a support surface thereof extended toward the periphery of the tire and leg portions along each end of the support surface, and the elastic rings are attached to the leg portions of the circular shell. Meanwhile, stages extending in a tire circumferential direction are formed on the inner walls of a pair of right and left beads in the pneumatic tire, and the elastic rings are locked into the stages.

摘要: A tire/wheel assembly includes a wheel having a rim, a pneumatic tire fitted to the rim of the wheel and a run-flat support member, the pneumatic tire having a tread surface and a hollow space, the tread surface having circumferential grooves extending in a circumferential direction of the tire, the run-flat support member being disposed in the hollow space of the pneumatic tire and having an annular shell and elastic rings, the annular shell comprising a support surface formed radially outward having a convexly curved surface portion with an annular apical line or face and two leg portions formed radially inward, the elastic rings supporting the two leg portions on the rim. The apical line or apical face of the convexly curved surface portion is offset in a direction of a center axis of rotation of the wheel so as not to be located in a position corresponding to the circumferential grooves when viewed from a radial direction of the wheel.
