The powertrain has an output member that extends from the second housing portion and which is movable relative to an output member axis. The mounting hub is fixedly coupled to one of the first and second housing portions. The lock bar is movably mounted to the other one of the first and second housing portions between a locked position and a first unlocked position. The lock bar cooperates with the mounting hub in the locked position to inhibit relative rotation between the first and second housing portions. Placement of the lock bar in the first unlocked position permits relative rotation between the first and second housing portions.

摘要： A frame assembly is provided for easily hanging a frame at a desired orientation. The base frame has a central mount that is fastened to a wall, to permit the base frame to be rotated to the desired orientation. Off-center mounts are thereafter fastened to the wall to maintain the desired orientation. The base frame is configured to fit within an outer frame, which holds an artistic or functional insert. Once the outer frame is mounted over the base frame, the base frame is obscured and the outer frame is flush with the wall surface. Further, multiple base frames can be hung in alignment by simply marking the desired center point for each base frame. The outer frame is removably secured to the base frame by a catch, to permit the easy exchange of the artistic insert or outer frame.

摘要： An endoscopic tissue grasper device includes a flexible tubular member, a flexible shaft extending through the tubular member, a proximal handle for moving the shaft and tubular member relative to each other, and a distal helical coil having a sharpened end for engaging tissue. The helical coil has a proximal close wound portion, a distal open wound portion, and an intermediate transition portion between the proximal and distal portions. The flexible shaft extends into the proximal and intermediate portions and is secured thereto, which prevents tissue engaged by the helical coil from becoming wedged in the transition portion and thereby facilitates release of the coil from engaged tissue. In addition, a bearing sheath is provided between the shaft and tubular member to prevent the shaft from binding during operation.

摘要： Systems and methods are described for a speech system that manages multiple grammars from one or more speech-enabled applications. The speech system includes a speech server that supports different grammars and different types of grammars by exposing several methods to the speech-enabled applications. The speech server supports static grammars that do not change and dynamic grammars that may change after a commit. The speech server provides persistence by supporting persistent grammars that enable a user to issue a command to an application even when the application is not loaded. In such a circumstance, the application is automatically launched and the command is processed. The speech server may enable or disable a grammar in order to limit confusion between grammars. Global and yielding grammars are also supported by the speech server. Global grammars are always active (e.g., “call 9-1-1”) while yielding grammars may be deactivated when an interaction whose grammar requires priority is active.

摘要： Pushbroom and flash lidar operations outside the visible spectrum, most preferably in near-IR but also in IR and UV, are enabled by inserting—ahead of a generally conventional lidar receiver front end—a device that receives light scattered from objects and in response forms corresponding light of a different wavelength from the scattered light. Detailed implementations using arrays of discrete COTS components—most preferably PIN diodes and VCSELs, with intervening semicustom amplifiers—are discussed, as is use of a known monolithic converter. Differential and ratioing multispectral measurements, particularly including UV data, are enabled through either spatial-sharing (e. g. plural-slit) or time-sharing.

摘要： An anti-theft security tag includes an engagement member and a housing for supporting an electronic article surveillance (EAS) marker. The housing includes a rotating inner core for supporting the engagement member for attachment to the article. The engagement member includes a line for connection to the article and a locking mechanism for securing the first and second ends of the line therein so that the core and the engagement member can rotate together within the housing. In one embodiment, the locking mechanism includes one or more self-crimping members which automatically secure at least one end of the line upon insertion therein. One end of the rotating core may be disposed flush with one end of the housing, so that the consumer cannot twist the line in order to remove the tag.
