Abstract:
A base metal repair tape includes a first layer formed braze alloy bonded together with fibrillated polytetrafluoroethylene, a second layer formed from powdered base metal bonded together by fibrillated polytetrafluoroethylene and a third layer comprising a brazing alloy bonded together by fibrillated polytetrafluoroethylene. This is used to repair base metal by placing the first layer on the base metal and brazing the base metal powder so that the brazing alloy melts and diffuses into the base metal powder bonding it to the surface of the article. This permits the braze powder to be bonded to the base metal surface with minimal distance between the base powder particles. The number of alternating layers of base metal and braze alloy can be increased to increase the thickness of the repair. This can also be used to form small intricate parts.
Abstract:
A method of cleaning a metal surface includes covering the portion of the metal surface with a cleaning tape. The cleaning tape is chromium in combination with a fluoride ion source bound together by fibrillated polytetrafluoroethylene. This is applied to the portion of the area to be cleaned and is subject to heat treatment at about 1800.degree. F. and a reducing atmosphere of preferably hydrogen. This effectively cleans only the area covered by the tape. Further, the tape and binder format acts to force fluoride ions into the cracks on the surface providing a significantly improved cleaning operation.
Abstract:
A system, method and apparatus is provided for a system in which a gaming machine triggers system events. The gaming machine may send messages to a server. The server may then process messages, and may send messages back to the gaming machine. Additionally, the server may send messages to other gaming machines also coupled to the server. The messages may concern bonuses, announcements of gaming events, and opportunities for tournament play, among other information. Thus, a gaming event (such as a jackpot or a good poker hand) may trigger a bonus or a tournament, for example. Additionally, messages may be sent to other components, such as audio and/or video components, which may then announce gaming events, for example.
Abstract:
In various embodiments, a clock hand bonus game is provided. Moreover, in various embodiments, a system, method and apparatus is provided for a bonus gaming machine. The bonus gaming machine operates with a face and two clock hands which rotate about the face. The bonus gaming machine operates in conjunction with a base gaming apparatus. The face displays a set of indicia which the two clock hands may point to as indication of a prize. The prize may be awarded in conjunction with a prize of the base gaming machine or independently.
Abstract:
A networked gaming system is disclosed that includes location detection and dispatcher servers operative together with one or more wireless personal digital (PDK) devices communicating with receiver/decoders (RDCs) for tracking and communicating with casino employees and patrons throughout the casino. An employee and patron tracking system in a casino is disclosed wherein beverage and other service staff are properly assigned, dispatched to the right patron or location and can be located and tracked throughout various transactions.
Abstract:
Disclosed are gaming machines, gaming systems and methods including stored value cards. Networked gaming systems are described which include one or more gaming machines with a stored value card acceptor, casino and/or slot management systems with a stored value server for authenticating stored value cards, verifying stored value, and updating value associated with the stored value cards, and a kiosk system for issuing, validating, and accounting for value associated with updateable stored value cards.
Abstract:
An event controller is provided for programmatic control of gaming devices. The event controller includes operating modes for adjusting game parameters, distributing audio and video, adjusting casino floor lighting, and performing auxiliary control functions. A gaming devices management system communicates control commands to the gaming devices. The control commands can adjust, for example, the audio volume of the gaming device. A rules database can be configured to provide programmable event processing. The rules database includes expressions that conditionally activate a particular event. The event controller can control the gaming devices in response to signals from a life safety system, for example, to reduce the audio volume of the gaming devices in the event of an emergency.
Abstract:
Corrosion resistant metal, either platinum or MCrAlY is bonded to a corrosion sensitive metal such as nickel based superalloys by coating the surface with the corrosion resistant metal particles held in a binder and covering this with a metalide generating tape. This is then heated to cause the formation of the metalide coating on the metal surface, which in turn, bonds the corrosion resistant metal to the surface.
