    Abstract: A digitally controlled lens system is disclosed. In some embodiments, the lens system includes a controller and an electro-optic lens electrically connected to the controller. The electro-optic lens includes a first substantially transparent substrate; a first electrode layer disposed on the first substantially transparent substrate, the first electrode layer including a plurality of electrodes; a second substantially transparent substrate; a second electrode layer disposed on the second substantially transparent substrate; and a liquid crystal layer located between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer. The controller is configured to generate a refractive index pattern of liquid crystal layer by controlling voltage applied on the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer.

    Abstract: Using inductive currents to wirelessly charge a device via a device connected to a power source. This inductive charging may result when a first mobile device recognizes a second mobile device via a wireless connection (e.g., Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Near-Field Communication (NFC), or the like). An application stored on the first mobile device may recognize a second mobile device by transmitting an advertising packet when the first mobile device is connected to a power source. An advertising packet may be received by the second mobile device and the second mobile device may transmit a response to the advertising packet in order to generate a connection between the first and second mobile devices. The response may include data such as, connection strength, response time, connection preferences, and the like. Upon detection and connection, the second mobile device may be wirelessly charged by the first device via inductive charging.

    Abstract: A dynamic transaction card that includes a number of layers, each of which may be interconnected to one another, is disclosed. The dynamic transaction card may include an outer layer, a potting layer, a sensor layer, a display layer (including, for example, LEDs, a dot matrix display, and the like), a microcontroller storing firmware, Java applets, Java applet integration, and the like, an EMV™ chip, an energy storage component, one or more antennas (e.g., Bluetooth antenna, NFC antenna, and the like), a power management component, a flexible printed circuit board (PCB), a chassis, and/or a card backing layer. The dynamic transaction card may be activated by authenticating the card user through user authentication input recognition, which may be gesture and/or voice recognition processing.
