    Abstract: Systems and methods for managing priority exceptions for shared spectrum radio services are provided. In one embodiment, a shared spectrum radio services system comprises: a spectrum access system (SAS) configured to adjust transmit power levels of one or more radios, wherein the one or more radios transmit on a protected frequency of a shared spectrum, wherein the SAS is associated with a protection area that comprises at least one dynamic incumbent RF system that transmits on the protected frequency; and wherein the SAS applies a standard transmit expiration time parameter to the one or more radios, the standard transmit expiration time parameter indicating a time of day at which authorization to transmit on the protected frequency expires; and wherein the SAS is configured to execute a transmit expiration parameter exception protocol to override the standard transmit expiration time parameter for at least one of the one or more radios.

    Abstract: Certain aspects are directed to an interceptor system for characterizing digital data communicated between certain points in a telecommunication system. The interceptor system includes an interface device and a processing device. The interface device can retrieve data from at least one communication link between a radio frequency processing unit and a baseband processing unit of a telecommunication system. The data includes digital data communicated between the radio frequency processing unit and the baseband processing unit. The processing device can determine an interface link protocol for communicating with terminal equipment via the telecommunication system. The interface link protocol can be determined based on an organization of the data retrieved from the communication link.

The method includes identifying a plurality of candidate channels of a frequency band of the shared spectrum communication system.     Abstract: A system for ESC protection includes a spectrum access system (SAS) configured to allocate a frequency band in the system and at least one Citizens Broadband Radio Service device (CBSD) communicatively coupled to the SAS and configured to provide wireless service to UEs. The system also includes at least one ESC communicatively coupled to the SAS and configured to detect RADAR signals from offshore RADAR devices. The SAS is configured to assign grants to the at least one CBSD such that the aggregate signal energy received at the ESC does not cross an overload threshold, as calculated by the SAS. The ESC is configured to detect an aggregate signal energy received at the ESC, and trigger, in response to the aggregate signal energy exceeding the overload threshold, an operation that suspends transmission of at least one CBSD or moves at least one CBSD to a different frequency channel.

    Abstract: A passive intermodulation (PIM) tester is provided. The PIM tester includes at least one interface to couple the tester to a front-haul communication link used for communicating front-haul data to a remote radio head (RRH) having one or more antenna ports. The PIM tester includes a programmable processor, coupled to the interface, configured to execute software, wherein the software is operable to cause the tester to do the following: identify at least one tone in at least one downlink band of the remote radio head, wherein potential PIM products may appear in at least one uplink band of the remote radio head in response to the identified at least one tone; inject the identified at least one tone in the at least one downlink band of the remote radio head; and monitor the at least one uplink band for the potential PIM products from the injected at least one tone.
