    Abstract: An antenna apparatus has an antenna unit. The antenna unit transmits or receives a probe wave made of an electromagnetic wave. A magnet is disposed at a location through which the probe wave to be received by the antenna unit passes. The magnet works to generate a magnetic field along a direction in which the probe wave propagates. A polarizing filter is arranged on an opposite side of a magnetic body to the antenna unit. This minimizes the interference between an emitted wave and a reflected wave created by a cover, such as a bumper, regardless of the configuration of the cover.

    Abstract: A radar apparatus that detects an object using radiated waves includes: an antenna surface that includes an element unit that emits a radiated wave for a radar; and a cover member that covers the antenna surface to protect the element unit. The cover member includes an inner refractive surface that is an inner side surface of the cover member on which an undesired wave is incident and is formed into a shape that refracts the undesired wave incident on the inner refractive surface so as to advance towards antenna rear. The antenna rear is a side opposite an antenna front that is a side on which the radiated wave is emitted, with the antenna surface as a boundary. Undesired waves are radiated waves that are emitted outside a range of a predetermined solid angle relative to a normal direction of the antenna surface from a center of the antenna surface from which the radiated waves are emitted.

    Abstract: A dielectric substrate has a first surface formed with a base plate and a second surface formed with an antenna part. The antenna part has one or more antenna patterns. An additional function part has a plurality of conductor patterns arranged around the antenna part. The plurality of conductor patterns resonate in one or more resonance directions to incident waves having an operating frequency of the antenna part, thereby generating emitted waves having polarized waves different from those of electromagnetic waves transmitted/received by the antenna part. For each of the resonance directions, at least one of the conductor patterns includes at least one line pattern having a width which is narrower than the total width of the conductor patterns in the direction perpendicular to the resonance direction.

    Abstract: A radar apparatus is provided which includes an antenna section that is configured to radiate radio waves based on fed electrical power, a plate dielectric member that is provided so as to transmit the radio waves radiated from the antenna section, a filter portion that is provided to the dielectric member and includes a plurality of band transmission portions arranged along a scanning direction, the plurality of band transmission portions being configured to respectively transmit radio waves within different specific transmission frequency bands, and a power feeding section that is configured to feed the electrical power to the antenna section and is configured to set specific frequency bands included in the respective specific transmission frequency bands to set radiation bands and sequentially change a frequency of the radio waves radiated from the antenna section to frequencies within the respective set radiation bands.

    Abstract: An antenna apparatus is equipped with a plurality of antennas arrayed in line. Ones of the antennas which lie at ends of the array of the antennas are referred to as end-side antennas, while the other antennas are referred to as inner antennas. The end-side antennas have a structure different from that of the inner antennas so as to decrease a difference in directionality between the antennas used as feed elements, thereby improving the accuracy in determining an arrival direction in a simple way without increasing an amount of calculation.

    Abstract: An antenna apparatus includes: an antenna that performs either transmission or reception of electromagnetic waves having a predetermined frequency; a case provided with a mounting surface on a predetermined surface, mounting the antenna on the mounting surface; a radome formed of a transmissive material allowing the electromagnetic waves to pass therethrough, mounted on the mounting surface so as to cover the antenna. A groove portion is formed on the mounting surface. The radome has a thickness corresponding to a value of ½ wavelength of the electromagnetic waves propagating therethrough multiplied by m, where m is positive integer number. The groove portion is formed in a direction forming a predetermined angle with respect to a normal direction of an opening surface of the antenna, to have a depth defined as ½ wavelength of the electromagnetic waves propagating in the groove portion multiplied by n, where n is positive integer number.
