    Abstract: A current sensor state determination device determines that an abnormality is caused in a current sensor when a sum of phase currents based on current detection values from each of the current sensors in three phases is greater than a first determination value, and determines that no abnormality is caused in the current sensor when the sum of phase currents is equal to or less than the first determination value. The state determination device determines that the current sensor is normal when it is determined that (i) no abnormality is caused in a preset electric angle range equal to or less than one electric-angle cycle of the rotating electric machine and (ii) a value of an electric current flowing in the rotating electric machine in a rotating coordinates system calculated based on the current detection value is equal to or greater than a second determination value.

    Abstract: Two systems of individually-provided arithmetic units in a control device of a multi-phase rotating machine perform control calculation for a control of electric current flowing from power converters to the multi-phase windings. The arithmetic units of the respective systems communicate information via inter-system communication at least in one direction, and perform current control calculation of the electric current flowing in the multi-phase windings of a subject system in a cycle shorter than a communication cycle of the inter-system communication, and calculate a decoupling control amount of the electric current flowing in the multi-phase windings of the subject system, for a decoupling control of a voltage generated in the multi-phase windings of the subject system by the electric current flowing in the multi-phase windings of an other system by using an estimated current that is calculated based on a current instruction value of the subject system or of the other system.

    Abstract: A control device is provided for a three-phase rotary machine including two three-phase-winding sets. The control device includes two power converters for outputting alternating currents with a same amplitude and a phase difference of (30±60×n) degrees to the two three-phase-winding sets and a control unit for controlling energization of the three-phase rotary machine by calculating a d-axis current and a q-axis current of a 6(2k+1)th component to be superimposed on a fundamental wave component on dq coordinates so as to reduce a phase current peak value. The control unit calculates currents so that a high-order dq amplitude ratio is 0 when a fundamental wave current amplitude is a first threshold or less, and the high-order dq amplitude ratio is 1 when the fundamental wave current amplitude is larger than a second threshold.

    Abstract: A control apparatus (10) for controlling a three-phase rotary machine (80) having two three-phase winding sets (801, 802) includes: two power converters (601, 602) outputting AC currents, having a same amplitude and a phase difference of (30±60×n) [deg], to the two winding sets; a harmonic component generator (20) superimposing a harmonic component on a phase current first harmonic component of a current command value; and two controllers (331, 332) calculating voltage command values for the two power converters according to the current command value. A combination of amplitudes of the phase current fifth and seventh harmonic components to reduce a peak of the phase current first harmonic component is defined as a fundamental amplitude. The harmonic component generator performs a harmonic amplitude reduction process to reduce a phase current peak reduction amount of the phase current first harmonic component from the fundamental amplitude according to a predetermined parameter, and to reduce an absolute value of an amplitude of the harmonic component.

    Abstract: A rotary electric machine system includes a rotary electric machine, first and second power-supply systems, a sensor, a first abnormality determination section determining whether an abnormality has occurred in a first armature-winding group, the first power-supply system, or the sensor, a second abnormality determination section that, on condition an abnormality has been determined, controls power output depending on a type of the abnormality, increases current flowing from the second power-supply system to a second armature-winding group when output torque due to current flowing to the first armature-winding group decreases, to increase output torque due to the current flowing to the second armature-winding group, and determines whether an abnormality has occurred in one of the first armature-winding group, the first power-supply system, and the sensor, and a prohibition section that, on condition that an abnormality has been determined, prohibits power supply from the first power-supply system to the first armature-winding group.

    Abstract: A control apparatus for a multi-phase rotating electric machine includes at least one electric power converter, a command value calculator and an input voltage determiner. The at least one electric power converter converts DC power into multi-phase AC power and supplies the multi-phase AC power to the rotating electric machine. The command value calculator calculates command values for operating the at least one electric power converter. The input voltage determiner determines whether an input voltage of the at least one electric power converter is within a normal operation range. When the input voltage is determined by the input voltage determiner to be outside the normal operation range, the control apparatus switches control to ignore voltage change or current change caused by the reverse input of an external force to the rotating electric machine from a load side or suppress control fluctuation caused by the reverse input of the external force.

When the current control unit is halted after operation and is restarted after halt, the temperature estimation unit: stores estimated temperature and the first and second detected temperature at the halt; calculates, as an estimated gain, a ratio of a temperature difference at the halt to a temperature difference at restart; and estimates temperature at the restart based on a temperature difference obtained by multiplying a temperature difference between the first detected temperature and the estimated temperature at the halt by the estimated gain, and increased temperature.
