摘要： A method and system for detecting information related to a drug reservoir. The method includes transmitting energy at a coded material disposed on a drug reservoir, where the energy has at least one predefined characteristic. The coded material identifies information related to the drug reservoir. The coded material modifies the energy and emits the modified energy to a receiver. The method further includes receiving at the receiver the modified energy. The method further includes determining information related to the drug reservoir based on the modified energy as the drug reservoir is loaded into a drug delivery device.

摘要： A dose setting mechanism having a locking mechanism for preventing selection of a dose in a drug delivery device is disclosed. The dose setting mechanism includes a locking mechanism that prevents movement of the dose setting mechanism. When a correct cartridge is inserted into the drug delivery device, the locking mechanism unlocks so as to allow movement of the dose setting mechanism. In one arrangement, the locking mechanism prevents rotation of the dose setting mechanism.

摘要： A locking mechanism is provided for use with a reservoir and a reservoir holder so as to prevent unwanted tampering with the reservoir. The mechanism comprises a main body with an aperture that is coupled to the reservoir. A hinged flange is provided on the main body. The flange folds inwards at the pivot point provided by the hinge, toward the aperture of the main body, allowing the mechanism to pass over the ferrule of the reservoir. Once the mechanism is placed over the cartridge, the flange folds toward the reservoir at the pivot point, flexing away from the main body. The flange rests against the underside of the reservoir ferrule, thereby retaining the reservoir within the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism may be for use with either a disposable or a reusable delivery device.

摘要： A system for a drug delivery device comprising a reservoir holder configured to hold a reservoir, and an alignment interface comprising a main body configured to be coupled to the reservoir. A first alignment feature is provided on the main body. The first alignment feature cooperates with a corresponding alignment feature provided by the reservoir holder such that when the reservoir is inserted into the holder, the first alignment feature cooperates with the corresponding alignment feature provided by the holder so as to rotate the alignment interface and thereby align the alignment interface within the holder. Thus, the reservoir may be aligned within the reservoir holder. The first alignment feature may comprise at least one protrusion provided on the main body of the interface. The system further comprises one or more coding features.
