摘要： A control body is coupled or coupleable with a cartridge that is equipped with a heating element and contains an aerosol precursor composition, the control body and cartridge forming an aerosol delivery device. The control body includes a control to control the heating element to activate and vaporize components of the aerosol precursor composition. The proximity sensor detects a presence of an object nearby the control body without requiring any physical contact with the object. And the proximity sensor or control component controls operation of at least one functional element of the aerosol delivery device in response to the presence of the object so detected. In another aspect, a cartridge may include a proximity sensor to detect a level of the aerosol precursor composition, and operation of functional element(s) may be controlled in response to the level of the aerosol precursor composition so detected.

摘要： A respiratory medicament and therapy data system capable of using a “breath actuated” monitoring device that monitors patient interactions with all respiratory therapy and drug delivery devices. It generates a signal based on the magnitude, direction and duration of the inhalation and exhalation pressures generated by a patient. This allows the tracking and wireless reporting of the various therapeutic and medicament delivery sessions with respect to such parameters as delivery date, time, duration, total delivered dose and the like. The respiratory medicament and therapy data system provides a fool-proof system for recording and immediately displaying the results of the respiratory therapy or drug delivery that have been algorithmically derived on a localized device and that can be sent to the medical provider's patient treatment database (health portals) for later, remote review by medical personnel.

The activation mechanism includes an energy storage member configured to produce a force to deliver the dose of a medicament and/or vaccine. The cover is configured to receive at least a portion of the housing. The electronic circuit system is coupled to the housing such that a protrusion of the cover electrically isolates a battery from a portion of the electronic circuit system when the portion of the housing is received by the cover. The electronic circuit system is configured to be electrically coupled to the battery and to produce a recorded speech output when the portion of the housing is at least partially removed from the cover. The electronic circuit system configured to produce a signal when the activation mechanism is actuated.

The processing module alerts for deviations, learns the preferred settings, advises based on trends, predictive and prognostic analytics.
