摘要: A method and system for classifying tachyarrhythmia episodes as associated or disassociated. Primary and auxiliary depolarizations are detected from different cardiac regions during a tachycardia episode. A first time interval is positioned to surround each of one or more primary depolarizations, including auxiliary depolarizations that occur in the first time interval. The auxiliary depolarizations occurring in the first time interval are then counted. Based on the number and the location of the auxiliary depolarizations counted in the first time intervals, the one or more primary depolarizations and the auxiliary depolarizations of the tachycardia episode are classified as disassociated or associated.

摘要: A method and apparatus for implementing a signal morphology preservation smoothing scheme. The smoothing scheme includes generating an output signal representative of a filtered version of the input signal, wherein the output signal is generated by adaptively removing low amplitude, high frequency noise components while simultaneously preserving signal morphology of the input signal. The smoothing scheme includes comparison of a distance metric against a distance threshold to determine whether an initial smoothed version of the input signal would be oversmoothed or undersmoothed. Then the smoothing scheme appropriately increments, decrements, or maintains the initial level of smoothing to generate an optimal smoothed signal representative of the output signal.

摘要: Systems and methods to monitor an improvement of a subject's physiological condition using a goal improvement profile are described. In an example, a physiological condition of a subject can be compared to a goal improvement profile, where the profile includes at least one target condition indicative of an improved physiological condition detectable using a physiological sensor signal, and a target time when the subject is expected to reach the target condition, where the comparison can be used to indicate whether the subject has met the target condition by the target time.

摘要: This document discusses, among other things, a system comprising an implantable medical device (IMD) including an implantable heart sound sensor circuit configured to produce an electrical heart sound signal representative of a heart sound of a subject and a processor circuit. The processor circuit is coupled to the heart sound sensor circuit and includes a detection circuit, a heart sound feature circuit and a trending circuit. The detection circuit configured to detect a physiologic perturbation and the heart sound feature circuit is configured to identify a heart sound feature in the electrical signal. The processor circuit is configured to trigger the heart sound feature circuit in relation to a detected physiologic perturbation. The trending circuit is configured to trend the heart sound feature in relation to a recurrence of the physiologic perturbation. The processor circuit is configured to declare a change in a physiologic condition of the patient according to the trending.

摘要: A system and method for narrowcasting text messages to a plurality of cellular phones. The system and method allow a potential user to opt in to receive the text messages the user wants to receive. The potential user can opt in through a computer network based web page. Once the potential user sends a sign up request application to participate via the computer network, the user will receive a first text message containing an authorization code on their cell phone. The user enters the authorization code into the web page and sends the authorization code. Receipt of the authorization code back through the computer network will trigger the phone number of the potential user to be added to a list of authorized text message receivers. A narrowcaster then instructs the central computer to narrowcast text messages to the phone numbers on the list that have indicated they want to receive messages on a certain topic.

摘要: Systems and methods to monitor cardiac function using information indicative of lead motion are described. In an example, a system including an implantable medical device can include a receiver circuit configured to be electrically coupled to conductor comprising a portion of an implantable lead and be configured to obtain information indicative of a movement of the implantable lead due at least in part to a motion of a heart. The system can include a sensing circuit configured to obtain information indicative of cardiac electrical activity. The system can include a processor circuit configured to construct a template representative of a contraction of the heart, where the template can be constructed using the information indicative of the movement of the implantable lead due at least in part to the motion of the heart during the contraction, and using the information indicative of the cardiac electrical activity sensed during the contraction.

摘要: Cardiac stimulation methods and systems provide for multiple pulse defibrillation, and involve sensing a fibrillation event, determining a fibrillation cycle length associated with the fibrillation event, and delivering a plurality of defibrillation pulses to treat the fibrillation event. Defibrillation pulses are delivered using a combination of subcutaneous non-intrathoracic electrodes. Delivery of each defibrillation waveform subsequent to a first defibrillation waveform is separated in time by a delay associated with the fibrillation cycle length. Delays between defibrillation waveform delivery may be associated with a percentage of the fibrillation cycle length.
