The amount of information stored in the database in advance is decided so that the acquiring speed and supplying speed can be kept in a predetermined relation. Therefore, the amount of information stored in advance is raised with increase in the frequency of using an electronic program guide in correlation with the acquired supplying speed, and the amount of information stored in advance is decreased with decrease in the using frequency.
