    Abstract: A downhole manifold assembly includes a manifold body defining a longitudinal axis and having a first end face, a second end face, and an outer surface extending therebetween. A fluid circuit is defined in the manifold body and includes a plurality of axially extending fluid passages and a plurality of radially extending fluid passages. The radially extending fluid passages extend to the outer surface of the manifold body. Each radially extending fluid passage defines a respective aperture in the outer surface. The manifold assembly also includes a control valve coupled to the manifold body. The control valve is positionable between a first position in which a flow of pressurized fluid is channeled through the fluid circuit in a first direction, and a second position in which the flow is reversed and the pressurized fluid is channeled through the fluid circuit in a second direction.

    Abstract: A seal for a blind shear ram is configured to extend between a first carrier and a second carrier of the blind shear ram. The seal includes a curved portion and an elastic layer extending through the curved portion. The elastic layer is configured to contact at least one of the first carrier and the second carrier to seal a wellbore when the first carrier and the second carrier are in a closed position. The elastic layer has a first elasticity. The seal also includes an anti-extrusion structure coupled to the elastic layer. The anti-extrusion structure extends through the curved portion. The anti-extrusion structure has a second elasticity less than the first elasticity. The anti-extrusion structure defines a plurality of slits to facilitate the anti-extrusion structure extending through the curved portion.

    Abstract: Various embodiments include gas turbine seals and methods of forming such seals. In some cases, a turbine includes: a first arcuate component adjacent to a second arcuate component, each arcuate component including one or more slots located in an end face, each of the one or more slots having a plurality of axial surfaces and radially facing surfaces extending from opposite ends of the axial surfaces and a seal assembly disposed in the slot. The seal assembly including an intersegment seal including a plurality of seal segments defining one or more corner regions. The intersegment seal disposed in a slot defining a high-pressure slot side and a low-pressure slot side, wherein the slot includes a plurality of slot segments. Each of the plurality of seal segments including at least one extended portion to either seal the one or more corner regions on a low-pressure slot side, form a recess in the intersegment seal, or both.

    Abstract: A variable ram for a blowout preventer is disclosed. The variable ram includes a ram block and a ram packer assembly disposed at least in part within the ram block. The ram packer assembly includes a plurality of inserts and a packer member. The plurality of inserts is configured to form an insert array, where the insert array includes a peripheral surface, and where the peripheral surface of the insert array is disposed facing an opening configured to receive a tubular member. The packer member is coupled to at least a portion of the plurality of inserts for providing a unitary structure to the ram packer assembly, where the packer member protrudes from the peripheral surface of the insert array into the opening to define a bore face of the variable ram, and where the packer member includes an elastomeric material.
