摘要： A hydraulic fluid distribution system includes a mechanical switch including a first valve, a first actuation pin extending axially from the first valve, and a second actuation pin extending axially from the first valve. The first valve includes an inlet port, a first outlet port, and a second outlet port. The first valve has a first position with the inlet port in fluid communication with the first outlet port and a second position with the inlet port in fluid communication with the second outlet port. The first actuation pin is configured to move in a first axial direction to transition the first valve from the second position to the first position, and the second actuation pin is configured to move in a second axial direction to transition the first valve from the first position to the second position. In addition, the hydraulic fluid distribution system includes a second valve having a first position that allows fluid communication between the first outlet port of the first valve and a first chamber and a second position that allows fluid communication between the second outlet port of the first valve and a second chamber. The second chamber is in fluid communication with a hydraulic fluid return passage when the second valve is in the first position and the first chamber is in fluid communication with the hydraulic fluid return passage when the second valve is in the second position.

The actuator further includes a piston disposed within the piston chamber. The piston movable between a first piston position proximate the piston chamber head end and a second piston position proximate the piston chamber base end. The piston includes a piston head end having a first indexing mechanism, a first piston seal, and at least one first feed hole. The piston further includes a base end longitudinally opposite the head end having a second indexing mechanism, a guide tooth, a second piston seal, and at least one second feed hole. The piston defines a plurality of channels that extends from proximate the first piston seal to proximate the second piston seal.

The apparatus may further include a second pump for pumping fluids from the upper wellbore section into the lower wellbore section, a vent for venting wellbore gas to the upper wellbore section, and a switch for controlling the pump drive. A method for moving fluids in a wellbore including sealing the wellbore, supplying wellbore gas to a pump drive and driving a first pump with the pump drive. The method may further include driving a second pump with the pump drive and venting the wellbore gas to an upper wellbore section.

The decompression valve includes a valve housing seated in the piston housing and a valve member moveably received by the valve housing. The valve member has a radially outer surface including an annular shoulder. In addition, the piston includes an end cap secured to the first end of the piston housing. A radially inner surface of the end cap includes an annular valve seat. The decompression valve has a closed position with the annular shoulder of the valve member engaging the valve seat of the end cap and an open position with the annular shoulder of the valve member axially spaced from the valve seat of the end cap. The piston also includes a biasing member configured to bias the decompression valve to the closed position.

The power-end section includes a tubular hydraulic cylinder. A lower piston disposed within the hydraulic cylinder bore is connected to the upper piston. The top connection sub connected to the fluid-end barrel upper end has a discharge port and a standing valve disposed below the discharge port. The umbilical includes first and second tubing strings providing fluid communications between a prime mover and the hydraulic cylinder bore below and above the lower piston face, respectively. A third tubing string provides fluid communications between a wellhead and the top connection sub discharge port.

摘要： A downhole pump is operated by a non-electric motor preferably a steam turbine. In a steam assisted gravity drain system the producing well is U-shaped. A steam supply line runs into the turbine that drives the pump after the steam supply passes through a packer. The steam exhaust runs through a shroud until the U-shaped well turns back to go up to the surface. Pump suction is thus separated from steam discharge to reduce mixing as the path of least resistance for the discharged steam when it exits the shroud is up to the surface. The exhaust steam keeps the produced fluids warm and flowing. An injector well runs parallel and slightly above the horizontal portion of the U-shaped producing well.

In some embodiments, the pump includes a housing including a hydraulic chamber, a cylinder coupled to the housing, a piston assembly adapted for reciprocal motion within the housing and the cylinder, the piston assembly separating the hydraulic chamber into three subchambers, and a hydraulic system fluidicly coupled to each of the subchambers. The hydraulic system is actuatable to deliver hydraulic fluid to a first of the subchambers, whereby the piston assembly strokes back and a working fluid is drawn into the cylinder, to deliver hydraulic fluid to a second of the subchambers, whereby the piston assembly strokes out and the working fluid is exhausted from the cylinder, and to adjust a volume of hydraulic fluid within a third of the subchambers, whereby the piston assembly translates to bring a pressure of the working fluid in the cylinder to within a pre-selected range.

摘要： A pump has a pump barrel formed from a larger diameter section and a smaller diameter section. Each section has a biased piston moveable within the section and the pistons are connected together to form a variable volume chamber between the pistons. As the connected pistons move toward the larger diameter section, a volume of fluid is moved through an inlet valve into the variable volume chamber of increasing volume. When the pistons are moved toward the smaller diameter section, a differential volume of fluid is discharged from the variable volume chamber of decreasing volume through a discharge valve into a discharge conduit. The pistons are actuated to move within the pump barrel by application and release of pressure at a remote end of the discharge conduit.
