Abstract: A recoat assembly for an additive manufacturing system includes a first roller support, a second roller support, a first roller disposed between and supported by the first roller support and the second roller support, a first rotational actuator operably coupled to the first roller and configured to rotate the first roller about a first rotation axis, and a first sensor mechanically coupled to and in contact with the first roller support, where the first sensor outputs a first output signal indicative of a first force incident upon the first roller.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to additive manufacturing systems, components therein, and methods for their use. The additive manufacturing system comprises a powder material handling system comprising a virgin powder inlet. The virgin powder inlet is coupled to a virgin powder drum and configured to receive a virgin powder from the virgin powder drum. The additive manufacturing system further comprises a liquid material handling system comprising a binder inlet. The binder inlet is coupled to a binder drum and configured to receive a binder from the binder drum. The additive manufacturing system also comprises an additive manufacturing machine coupled to the powder material handling system and the liquid material handling system. The additive manufacturing machine receives the virgin powder and the binder from the powder material handling and liquid material handling systems and is configured to manufacture a work product using the virgin powder and the binder.

Abstract: Build receptacles for additive manufacturing apparatuses are disclosed. The build receptacle may comprise a housing comprising a sidewall at least partially enclosing a build chamber. A build platform may be positioned within the build chamber. A position of the build platform may be slidably adjustable within the build chamber in a vertical direction from a lower position to one of a plurality of upper positions and from the one of the plurality of upper positions to the lower position. The build receptacle may further comprise a plurality of heating elements disposed around the build chamber.
