    摘要: A polygonal scanning mirror for an optical recorder is magnetically suspended and rotated about a scanning axis. To control position of the scanning mirror, a curved surface mirror is fixed with respect to, and rotates with, the scanning mirror for receiving a radiation beam and reflecting it onto a detector array. The reflected radiation beam is preferably focused by an astigmatic imaging system. Output signals from the detector array are used to control electromagnets of the suspension system.

    摘要: In order to pivot a pivotal arm (60) carrying an optical scanner (5), use is made of at least one coil (13) and at least one permanent magnet (16, 17), the coil being arranged on the pivotal arm or on a frame supporting the arm and the permanent magnet being arranged on the frame or on the arm. The coil (13) has a substantially straight active coil section (14) which is arranged near the pivotal axis (8) about which the pivotal arm is pivotable and which extends transversely of the longitudinal axis of the pivotal arm. The ends of this coil section are interconnected by a further coil section (15) which is, for example, concentric with the pivotal spindle and which extends at that side of the pivotal axis which is remote from the scanning unit.

    摘要: An optical scanning unit with an objective for focussing a beam into a scanning spot on the surface of an information carrier and an electromagnetic drive for continuous correction of the position of the objective with respect to the information carrier. The objective is mounted in a movable ring-shaped magnetic body of a permanent-magnetic material which is arranged coaxially about the optical axis and which has magnetic poles at the axial ends. The drive is provided with sets of fixed coils which interact with the magnetic body via an air gap. Each set of coils has a first segmental coil arrangement having two active coil parts extending parallel in the peripheral direction of the magnetic body and located in the vicinity of the axial ends of the centrally positioned magnetic body. The unit is further equipped with at least one second coil arrangement which is positioned at least partially between the active coil parts of the above-mentioned first segmental arrangement.

    摘要: An optical scanning device for scanning an optically readable record carrier (1) includes a radiation source (5), a radiation-sensitive detection system (7), and an optical scanning unit for focusing a scanning beam (3) produced by the radiation source to a scanning spot (9) on the record carrier. The scanning unit including a lens system having an optical axis (13), which lens system includes a first lens unit having a main lens (15) and a second lens unit having an auxiliary lens (17). The scanning device further includes a first detection unit involved in detection of the main lens with respect to the record carrier, and a second detection unit involved in detection of the auxiliary lens. The scanning unit further includes a first electrical drive unit for moving the first lens unit in dependence upon a signal supplied by the first detection unit, and a second electrical drive unit for moving the second lens unit with respect to the main lens in dependence upon a signal supplied by the second detection unit. The second drive unit includes a first part and a second part which cooperates with the first part via an air gap (51). The first part is secured to the first lens unit and the second part is secured to the second lens unit. In order to counteract spherical aberration and/or coma and/or astigmatism during scanning the second detection unit includes a position and orientation detector system for detecting the position and orientation of the auxiliary lens with respect to the record carrier during scanning.

The positioning device includes a radiation source unit and an actuator unit having a carrier which supports several different objective lenses and which is movable parallel to the access of rotation.
