Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods to predict a half-life or end of life for luminaire drivers are described. The drivers may include electronic drivers for light fixtures such as dimming controls that utilize electrolytic capacitors in the output circuit to smooth the output current and reduce changes in current amplitude. Half-life and end of life for the drivers may be predicted by monitoring failure variable indications of the driver and the luminaire light, including the light intensity depreciation of the light, and by evaluating the data from both the driver, light, and environment in which the driver and/or luminaire is installed to predict the most imminent half-life and/or end of life.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for automatically managing emergency lighting testing are generally described herein. The automated emergency lighting testing may include scheduling emergency lighting events, verifying that emergency lighting power sources and fixtures are sufficient to maintain requisite light intensity for a requisite amount of time, and calculating life expectancy for emergency power sources and lighting fixtures to predict when components should be replaced to avoid failure. The disclosure reduces the amount of time and manual intervention required for the tests by using, among other things, a system of lighting control drivers, sensors, and processors that monitor, assess, and control the lighting system including emergency lighting components and power.

Abstract: The present system provides a sensor clip system that can be clipped to luminaires of a plurality of shapes and sizes and method of using the sensor clip. Some of the sensors are upward looking (into the luminaire) while others are downward looking (away from the luminaire); and thus face in substantially opposite directions. The sensor clip is adjustable in one, two or three dimensions to be able to easily fit with different sized and shaped luminaires, such that the upward looking sensors may face the incoming light and downward looking sensors face away from the light. The sensor clip system may also provide attenuation of the luminous intensity of the emitted light coming out of the luminaires and extends the longevity and usability of the embedded sensor.

Abstract: A system and method for controlling lighting systems and predicting a life expectancy of a plurality of lighting devices are disclosed. The system may include at least one gateway that controls dimming levels of the lighting devices, and at least one of a plurality of luminaires and LEDs that communicates with the gateway via a dimming control interface. The system may further include a sensor subsystem that senses color channels and monitors at least one change in environment in real time, and at least one power meter that measures power in real time, each of which is connected to the gateway. At least one server may be connected to the gateway, and may calculate and predict lumen depreciation of the luminaires and LEDs, and reporting and changing display information associated with the luminaires and LEDs.
