    Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for displaying multiple time rings on an avionic display. The method includes displaying at least a first time ring in an avionic display; displaying at least a second time ring in the avionic display wherein the first and second time rings include a pair of visually spaced apart time rings wherein a visual spacing apart between the first and second time rings is indicative of a range and a separation flight time between each of the time rings; and displaying, about at least the first time ring in the avionic display, a distance marker of a value for a range and a time marker of a value for separation flight time about an ownship's position and airspeed, and to at least one time ring.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a vertical takeoff and landing, VTOL, vehicle having a landing aid and associated methods. The landing aid includes at least one processor is configured to: receive image data from an image capture device, receive altitude data from the altimeter, retrieve template landing pad image data for a target landing pad from the database, scale the template landing pad image data based on the altitude data, compare the scaled template landing pad image data and the image data received from the image capture device to locate the target landing pad therein, thereby providing target landing pad localization data, and control a function of the VTOL vehicle based on the target landing pad localization data.

    Abstract: A display system is configured to provide a display to an aircraft flight crew. The system includes an image display device, a data storage device, a flight management system, a processing unit in operable electronic communication with the image display device, the data storage device, and the flight management system. The processing unit includes a computer processor that is configured to receive a time-based requirement to a point of interest associated with operation of the aircraft. Via the image display device, a flight display includes a graphically depicted time tape. The time tape includes a time scale. Also graphically depicted within the time tape is the point of interest using a first symbology and the time-based requirement using a second symbology. Operational parameter data of the aircraft allows determination of the ability of the aircraft to achieve the time-based requirement and graphical depiction within the time tape of the ability of the aircraft to achieve the time-based requirement using a third symbology.
