Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for managing energy use in a vehicle. For instance, the method may include receiving forecasted data from a first external source, receiving real-time data corresponding to at least one weather parameter at a first location at a first time, and continuously determining whether to perform an adjustment to a control parameter of the vehicle by using a machine learning model that is based on the forecasted data for the at least one weather parameter, the real-time data for the at least one weather parameter, a battery condition of the vehicle, and/or an estimated amount of energy consumed by traveling along a first navigation path.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for promoting collision threat awareness for a mobile platform. The system comprises a searchlight to emit a beam of light and means for articulating the searchlight, a sensor system to sense a location, elevation, and orientation of the mobile platform and/or locations and elevations of obstacles including terrain and manmade objects, a source of data including the locations and elevations of the obstacles, and a controller configured to, by a processor: identify a first obstacle that poses a collision threat to the mobile platform based on the location, elevation, and/or orientation of the mobile platform and the location and elevation of the first obstacle, and operate the searchlight assembly to: automatically direct the beam of light toward the first obstacle, and/or automatically direct the beam of light toward an escape route that allows the mobile platform to avoid collision with the first obstacle.

Abstract: A system and method of transmitting an aircraft report (AIREP) from a first aircraft having an enabled aircraft autoland system includes retrieving, via a first processing system, standard AIREP data from one or more avionic systems within the first aircraft, the standard AIREP data including standard AIREP reporting information. The first processing system retrieves autoland enablement data that indicates whether the autoland system was manually or automatically enabled, and also retrieves autoland information data from the one or more avionics systems, where the autoland information data includes current aircraft state data and current flight plan data and is different from the standard AIREP data. The autoland information data is appended to the standard AIREP data to generate an AIREP-autoland message and the AIREP-autoland message is transmitted.

Utilizing representation(s) of the virtual elements, including a virtual corridor and/or virtual vehicle, embodiments of the present disclosure provide improved user interfaces that assist a pilot in safely controlling an aerial vehicle (even without visual inspection of a real-world environment) during vertical takeoff and/or vertical landing.

Abstract: A display system is configured to provide a display to an aircraft flight crew. The system includes an image display device, a data storage device, a flight management system, a processing unit in operable electronic communication with the image display device, the data storage device, and the flight management system. Via the image display device, a flight display includes a graphically depicted time tape. The time tape includes a time scale. Also graphically depicted within the time tape is the point of interest using a first symbology and the time-based requirement using a second symbology. Operational parameter data of the aircraft allows determination of the ability of the aircraft to achieve the time-based requirement and graphical depiction within the time tape of the ability of the aircraft to achieve the time-based requirement using a third symbology.

Abstract: A system is provided for generating an alert to the presence of emission vapors for a low altitude in-flight aircraft. An obstacle database and a terrain database provide parameters for obstacles and terrain features to a synthetic vision processor. The processor creates a graphic overlay of the terrain and obstacles that is combined with thermal images of emission vapors by a combined vision processor to create a combined synthetic image. An emissions threat calculator analyzes the synthetic image for the presence of emission vapors. If any emission vapors are detected in proximity to the aircraft, an alert and suggested maneuvers to avoid the emission vapors are sent to the aircraft.
