    摘要: To provide a packet transmitter apparatus which can transmit contents protected by a content protection technique such as DTCP or the like, using packets such as IP packets which have become widespread. The packet transmitter apparatus includes a transmitting condition setting management unit (404) which extracts at least one of charge information, playback control information and copy control information of AV data from the inputted non-AV data or AV data and generates, based on the extracted information, encryption mode information indicating an encryption mode which becomes a condition at the time of transmitting the AV data; an encrypted data generation unit (406) which generates encrypted data by encrypting, based on the transmitting condition, the inputted AV data and adding encryption information headers based on the encryption mode information to the encrypted AV data; and a packet generation unit (403) which generates packets by adding packet headers to the generated encrypted data. The transmitting condition is to be determined as a combination of input terminal information, data format information and attribute information.

    摘要: In a system for connecting a video signal recording/reproducing apparatus and a color TV receiver, two component signals--a luminace signal and a carrier chrominance signal--are transmitted separately from each other from the video signal recording/reproducing apparatus to the TV receiver. The video signal recording/reproducing apparatus has first and second output terminals for respectively outputting luminance and carrier chrominance signals obtained from a color video signal reproduced from a recording medium. The color TV receiver has first and second input terminals adapted to be respectively connected to the first and second output terminals of the video signal recording/reproducing apparatus for receiving the luminace and carrier chrominance signals. The color TV receiver may be provided with a switching circuit for selecting a composite video signal received in the conventional manner or the separately received two component signals.

    摘要: To provide a packet transmitting apparatus which transmits a content protected with a content protection technique such as DTCP in the form of packets which are widely used, such as IP packets, and which is capable of providing diverse EPG information. Metadata of an A/V stream is utilized to control the output mode, encryption mode, and/or addition of an encryption information header of contents such as video, audio, and data contained in the stream (407). This secures interconnection compatibility between a packet transmitting apparatus and a packet receiving apparatus while maintaining secrecy (414). When a content received through digital television broadcasting is used as an A/V stream, a channel is selected from a full transport stream which is received through broadcasting (409) so as to extract and form a partial transport stream for use (410). EPG information can be selected not only from SI information contained in a digital broadcasting signal but from a plurality of information sources, such as EPG-dedicated channels and the Internet (412).
