Abstract:
In a seat belt retractor according to the present invention, a lock gear first cover 13 has a projection 13a formed in a relatively large ring shape. The projection 13a has teeth 13c formed all around the inner surface thereof at same intervals. These teeth 13c are formed to have the same positional relation with the teeth 2 f formed on the right-hand side wall 2a. Further the number of the teeth 13c is set to be a common divisor of the number of the teeth 2f, that is to be less than the number of the teeth 2f. Thereby, the frequency of occurrence of end lock decreases.
Abstract:
A shoulder belt positional adjustment device for a seatbelt comprises a belt anchor adapted to loosely receive a shoulder belt, an anchor support block for supporting the belt anchor, a guide rail for slidably holding the anchor support block, and a screw shaft extending along the longitudinal axis of the guide rail and threaded with the anchor support block, whereby the screw shaft is rotated to move the anchor support block along the guide rail. The anchor support block has a nut element threaded on the screw shaft, and a slider slidably mounted to the guide rail. The nut element and the slider are so engaged as to move together. A resilient member is disposed among the nut element, the slider and the guide rail to resiliently contact the nut element, the slider and the guide rail.

The pretensioner system includes an acceleration sensing device (30) for sensing acceleration of a vehicle, a loosening eliminating device (14) for pulling the seat belt sidewardly to eliminate loosening of the seat belt in response to a signal from the acceleration sensing device (30), and a lock device (15) for locking the seat belt by sandwiching the same after loosening of the seat belt has been eliminted. The lock device (15) has cooperable members (24, 29C, 32) to sandwich the seat belt in accordance with movement of the loosening eliminating device (14).

Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a movable image bearing member; a charger for electrically charging the image bearing member; developing device for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the image bearing member; illumination device disposed between the charger and the developing device, for illuminating the image bearing member to remove the electric charge from the image bearing member to prevent deposition of a developer by the developing device in an area exposed to the illumination thereof, the illumination device including a plurality of LED elements arranged substantially along a line extending in a direction crossing with a direction of movement of the image bearing member and light blocking element provided correspondingly to each of the LED elements and having substantially rectangular apertures each of which allows light from the associated LED element to pass to the image bearing member to illuminate it with a substantially rectangular illumination area; and controller for controlling actuation of each of the LED elements. Thus, a non-image area can be changed, and the boundary between the non-image area and an adjacent image area is sharp because the illumination area provided is in a rectangular form.
Abstract:
The invention provides a disk playback device wherein a disk (1) is irradiated with a laser beam from an optical head (4) to reproduce signals from the disk, and which comprises an external synchronizing signal producing circuit (8) and a delay circuit (12) for producing a reproduction synchronizing signal providing reference timing at which a reproduced signal is detected by reading an output signal from the optical head (4), a circuit (7) for detecting the reproduced signal by reading the output signal from the optical head (4) based on the reproduction synchronizing signal, and a system controller (10) for determining an optimum phase for a normal reproduction operation by altering the phase of the reproduction synchronizing signal and executing a reproduction operation, the controller (10) being operable to make a phase adjustment for the reproduction synchronizing signal prepared by the delay circuit (12). A normal reproduction operation can be performed at all times by assuring the reproduction synchronizing signal of the optimum phase.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a disk playback device comprising a laser drive circuit 15 for feeding a drive signal to an optical head 4 and adjusting the power of a laser beam irradiated by the optical head 4, an error correcting circuit 11 for detecting an error rate of a reproduced signal, and a system controller 10 for controlling operation of the laser drive circuit for signal reproduction and signal recording based on the output of the error correction circuit 11. The system controller 10 retrieves one limit value of two limit values of a reproduction power wherein the error rate is not beyond a prescribed value, and calculates an optimum reproduction power based on the one limit value retrieved. Accordingly it is possible to move to signal reproduction in a short period of time and to reproduce signals with high accuracy by setting the optimum reproduction power.
Abstract:
A motorized seat belt retractor having a load limiter to control the tensile load on a seat belt webbing, especially when the webbing is withdrawn due to an emergency condition. The load limiter controls the tension by controlling the condition of the motor that drives the retractor.
Abstract:
A disc apparatus (10) includes an optical lens (14). A laser beam is irradiated onto a recording surface of the magneto-optical disc (68) through the optical lens (14), and a TE signal or an RF signal is detected on the basis of the laser beam reflected by the recording surface. Herein, an MPU (50) replaces the optical lens (14) in an optical axis direction, and a TE signal detection circuit (42) or an RF signal detection circuit (60) detects the TE signal or the RF signal at each of lens positions. A laser power is adjusted by the MPU (50) such that amplitude of each of the TE signal or the RF signal detected is below a saturation value. When a parameter is adjusted, a position of the optical lens (14) is controlled such that the amplitude of the TE signal or the RF signal detected thereafter is maximized.
Abstract:
A seat belt retractor including an energy absorbing mechanism which can reliably satisfy a requirement to absorb the energy flexibly is provided. When a first pulley is rotated clockwise by an extraction of a webbing in an emergency, a wire, which is connected to the first pulley at one end, is pulled. Thus, a second pulley, to which the other end of the wire is connected, is rotated clockwise around a second rotational shaft. The second rotational shaft is disposed at a position away from the center of the second pulley. Thus, the rotational diameter gradually increases and a torque applied by the wire for rotating the second pulley is gradually reduced. Since the second rotational shaft is connected to a torsion bar, a load applied to the torsion bar is reduced after reaching a limit load.
