摘要: A vehicle co-operative control system is provided which suppresses the torque steer phenomenon by co-operatively controlling a driving force and/or braking force distribution device and an electric power steering device without changing the control device of the electric power steering device for a vehicle having a specification in which the co-operative control is not carried out or with the introduction of only a minimal change. The control device can also be applied to a vehicle having a specification in which the co-operative control is carried out. In order to achieve this, the steering torque detected by the steering torque detecting device is input into a corrected steering torque calculating device of a first electronic control unit for controlling the driving force and/or braking force distribution device and a corrected steering torque which has been calculated in the corrected steering torque calculating device is input into the second electronic control unit for controlling the electric power steering device. The second electronic control unit controls the electric power steering device based on the corrected steering torque and thus the torque steer phenomenon caused by the driving force and/or braking force distribution device is suppressed.

摘要: A system for correctively controlling the turning movement of a vehicle, including a device for correcting the turning movement of the vehicle, a sensor for detecting the steering angle of a steering wheel of the vehicle, a steering angle hysteresis storage device for storing the hysteresis of the steering angle, and a reference value arithmetic device for determining a reference value of a physical quantity generated during a turning movement of the vehicle, on the basis of the hysteresis of the steering angle. The system also includes a detector for detecting an actual value of the physical quantity during the turning movement, a calculator for determining a deviation between the reference value and actual value of the physical quantity and a polarity of the deviation, and a control-quantity determining device for determining a control-quantity for the turning movement correcting device on the basis of the deviation obtained in the calculator. A device is included for determining a control-direction of correction of the turning movement on the basis of the polarity of the deviation. This system permits the turning movement of the vehicle to be automatically corrected.

摘要: The damping force of a damper on a motor vehicle is automatically controlled dependent on the running condition of the motor vehicle and the road condition in which the motor vehicle travels. An acceleration of vertical vibration of the motor vehicle body is detected by a sensor, and a binary pulse signal indicative of a variation in the acceleration is produced. Then, a first signal is generated on the basis of whether the pulse duration of the binary pulse signal is at least a prescribed value or smaller than the prescribed value. Thereafter, a second signal is produced indicating the magnitude of the absolute value of the acceleration. Finally, the damping force of the damper is selectively adjusted to hard, normal, and soft settings based on a combination of the first and second signals.

摘要: A parking brake system is provided in which, a lock mechanism (25) is provided within a casing (23) to the rear of a parking piston (24) that can give a parking brake state by forward movement in response to the action of a parking control fluid pressure, the lock mechanism (25) operating in response to forward movement of the parking piston (24) in order to mechanically lock the parking piston (24) at a forward position and unlocking in response to the action of a parking release control fluid pressure. The lock mechanism (25) includes a lock piston (30) that is disposed to the rear of the parking piston (24) while having an axis orthogonal to the axis of the parking piston (24) and that makes a forward urging force act on the parking piston (24) at least when the parking piston (24) moves forward, and opposite end parts of the lock piston (30) are slidably fitted into and supported on the casing (23). This enables an automatic parking brake state to be obtained by a simple structure without consuming power.

摘要: A brake force detecting apparatus for detecting strain in a caliper bracket. The caliper bracket has two fixed portions fixed to a wheel support and a connecting portion for connecting the fixed portions. The connecting portion of the caliper bracket is formed with a recess at a position radially outside of a line connecting the fixed portions in the radial direction of a brake disc. A sensor plate is press-fitted in the recess of the connecting portion in engaged relationship with the connecting portion so as to undergo deformation generated in the connecting portion in its tensile direction. A strain gauge is attached to the sensor plate.

Moreover, an input member (23) of a brake mechanism (11) and the parking piston (33) are connected by coupling means (35), a lock piston (44) of the lock mechanism (43) moves toward one side in the axial direction when the parking piston (33) moves forward, and a locking part (46) provided at one end of the lock piston (44) engages from the rear with a retaining part (45) provided on a middle section of the coupling means (35) while straddling the middle section of the coupling means (35). This enables an automatic parking brake state to be obtained by a simple structure without consuming power.

摘要: A co-operative control system for a vehicle including a force distribution device for distributing the driving force or braking force between the right and left wheels or between the front and rear wheels, includes a first control means for controlling the operation of the force distribution device, an electric power steering device, having a motor for applying a steering assist torque to a vehicle steering system, and a second control means for calculating a motor control signal for driving the motor. The motor control signal is based on at least the steering torque detected by a steering torque detecting means. The first control means calculates a correction signal for correcting said motor control signal based on the distributed force generated by the force distribution device, the second control means drives the motor based on the corrected motor control signal obtained by correcting the motor control signal with the correction signal and the first control means stops the operation of the force distribution device when the electric power steering device or the second control means malfunctions.
