    Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for connectivity supervision and recovery. A WTRU may supervise its capability to transmit and receive data, including in the absence of a control channel (e.g. grant-less transmission). A supervision framework may permit a WTRU to supervise, for example, quality of a feedback channel, quality of reciprocal resources and/or transmission attempts. A supervision process may be a function of a control channel structure or WTRU state. A supervision process may be associated with a quality of service. A supervision process may be based on WTRU transmission for energy/resource efficient operation. Multiple Recovery procedures may be defined. A recovery procedure may be a function of a supervision process. A recovery procedure may be optimized for low latency services. Recovery procedures may involve dedicated resources for recovery, transition to light connection, grant-less resource, etc. User plane recovery may include reuse of layer2 context, data replication to companion MAC instances, etc. Control plane recovery may use RAN paging, WTRU triggered multi-connectivity, etc. A recovery procedure for a supervision process associated with a beam process may include WTRU triggering beam training/beam refinement, etc.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for link management and recovery for sidelink relays are described herein. Methods may include transmitting packets to a network via a first relay and using a sidelink radio bearer (SLRB) configuration, wherein the transmitted packets include an identifier associated with the first relay: receiving a message identifying alternate relay; and detecting radio link failure. Methods may include obtaining signal quality measurements of reference signals associated with the alternate relay: selecting, from the alternate relay, a second relay having the highest signal quality; and transmitting, to the selected second relay, a reconfiguration message indicating to use the same SLRB configuration or an equivalent SLRB configuration. If a response indicates that reconfiguration of the second relay is successful, a packet may be transmitted via the second relay using the same or equivalent SLRB configuration. The packet may include an identifier associated with the second relay.

    Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for communication by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) associated with a source cell. The WTRU is configured with a conditional reconfiguration which includes a trigger condition and a configured target cell. The WTRU detects an occurrence of an impairment event resulting in impairment to operation of the WTRU in the source cell. If the impairment event satisfies the trigger condition, a reconfiguration is performed with the configured target cell. If the impairment event does not satisfy the trigger condition, a target cell is selected based on a cell selection procedure, and if the WTRU is configured with a conditional reconfiguration for the selected target cell, a reconfiguration is performed with the selected target cell; and if the WTRU is not configured with a conditional reconfiguration for the target cell, a reestablishment is performed with the selected target cell.

    Abstract: A method and device for power savings on a dormant secondary cell group are disclosed. In an approach, a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may receive, from a network, a report configuration to report a channel quality indicator to a master cell group, MCG, or a secondary cell group, SCG, based on the received configuration (e.g. comprising different periodicities in order to report the CQI). In an approach, the channel quality indicator may be transmitted with a decreasing regularity. In an approach, the channel quality indicator may be transmitted with a period (periodicity) that depends on a discontinuous reception status of the MCG. In an approach, the channel quality indicator may be transmitted depending on a presence of high priority data (e.g. number of DCIs received, preemption indication, LCH priority; PDCCH).

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for accessessing a wireless network are described herein. A method according to at least one embodiment may include receiving a transmission including information associated with a plurality of random access channel (RACH) configurations. The information may indicate a plurality of RACH occasions in which a preamble transmission may be sent. One or more reference signals may be received. Methods may further include sending, using one of the plurality of RACH configurations, the preamble transmission in one of the plurality of RACH occasions along with one or more protocol data units (PDUs). The one of the plurality of RACH configurations may be selected based on a measurement of at least one of the one or more received reference signals. THe method may further include sending, in response to the preamble transmission and the one or more PDUs, a random access response.

    Abstract: Channel access in unlicensed spectrum may be a function of the type of physical channel and/or a procedure that initiated a transmission. An LBT procedure may be performed as a function of beam management. A WTRU may access a channel using multiple channel access methods associated with multiple uplink transmissions based on a determination of persistent interference associated with the channel. Channel access methods may be performed with different parameters or characteristics based on the resource type/timing of the transmission/measurements of DL/UL RS. Channel access methods may be characterized by a sensing duration, an ED threshold, a beam width, and/or a beam direction. Different ED thresholds may be applied as a function of one or more characteristics of an applicable beam. Multiple sensing methods and/or related parameters may be applied as a function of the type of physical channel and/or the type of procedure associated with a transmission.

    Abstract: Supplementary uplink (SUL) may be used in wireless systems. Cell suitability criteria may be provided for cells configured with SUL. A Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit (WTRU) may receive paging with an indication of a carrier (e.g., SUL or regular uplink (RUL)) in which to initiate part or all of an initial access. A WTRU that may be performing response-driven paging may provide (e.g. explicit) beam information for beamforming of a paging message on a non-beamformed SUL. A handover (HO) procedure (e.g., carrier selection, configuration handling, HO failure, etc.) may be provided for a WTRU with a configured SUL. A WTRU may request a change of a configured UL. A WTRU may (e.g., autonomously) perform a switch to a different (e.g., configured) uplink, for example, when one or more conditions may be met (e.g., conditional switch). Semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) resources/configuration may be relocated from a first UL to a second UL.

    Abstract: A WTRU may receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating a start of a frame. The DCI may be received on a control channel, such as the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) from an eNB, base station, AP, or other infrastructure equipment operating in a wireless communications system. The WTRU may decode the DCI and may determine a transmit time interval (TTI) duration, which may be expressed in terms of an integer number of basic time intervals (BTIs). The WTRU may determine a downlink (DL) transmission portion and assignment and an uplink (UL) transmission portion and UL grant based on the received DCI. Additionally, the WTRU may determine the start of the UL portion based on an offset (toffset). The WTRU may receive data in a DL portion of the frame and may transmit in an UL portion of the frame based on the determined UL grant and TTI duration.

    Abstract: Systems, methods and instrumentalities may be provided for handling a user plane in a wireless communication system. The wireless communication system may be characterized by a flexible air interface. One aspect of the flexible air interface is that transmissions by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) in the system may have different quality of service (QoS) requirements, such as different latency requirements. The WTRU may adjust its behaviors based on the QoS requirements, e.g., by utilizing preconfigured resources, resource requests, self-scheduling, and/or the like, such that the transmissions may be performed in accordance with their respective QoS requirements.
