Abstract: In a communication device and communication method, channel quality information for first and the second communication protocols is calculated. Further, allocation information can be generated for the first and the second communication protocols based on the corresponding channel quality information. Sequence numbers of corresponding data frames to be transmitted by the communication device can be generated. Further, the data frames and corresponding sequence numbers can be allocated to the first and the second communication protocols based on the allocation information.

Abstract: An apparatus comprises a memory and processing circuitry that are configured to implement a first network control protocol (NCP) MAC layer configured to handle MAC layer communications of the first NCP, and sniffer edge circuitry. The sniffer edge circuitry is configured to communicate with the first NCP MAC layer and a second NCP MAC layer and to capture events related to second NCP (WiGig) communications. These captured events are communicated over a dedicated sniffer network, and packet contents communicated between the second NCP MAC layer and the second NCP stack are secure from the sniffer edge circuitry. The apparatus receives a distributed common time reference and uses this to timestamp the captured events.

Abstract: Embodiments of methods for scanning in a directive multi-gigabit network are generally described herein. An apparatus of a station may include processing circuitry configured to decode a sector sweep beacon received from an access point, encode for transmission a sector sweep feedback message to include a beam refinement protocol (BRP) request, and encode for transmission BRP responses to BRP signaling received from the access point. The processing circuitry may be further configured to decode a link margin feedback signal received from the access point to determine an access point link margin, measure signal information associated with the link margin feedback signal to determine a received link margin measurement, and encode signaling for association with the access point based on the access point link quality and the receive link quality.

Abstract: Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, devices, systems and methods of a Fast Basic Service Set (BSS) Transition (FT). For example, a wireless station (STA) may be configured to process at least one frame from at least one advertiser Access Point (AP) over a first frequency band while the STA is associated with a current AP over the first frequency band, the frame including a Multiband Mobility Domain Element (MMDE) corresponding to a target AP; and to transmit to the advertiser AP an FT authentication request frame over the first frequency band to request an FT from the current AP on the first frequency band to the target AP on the second frequency band, the FT request frame including the MMDE corresponding to the target AP.

Abstract: Technologies for improving enumeration of universal serial bus (USB) devices over a media agnostic USB (MAUSB) connection are disclosed. In the illustrative embodiment, an MAUSB device may send USB configuration data to a host compute device. The host compute device may then perform a virtual enumeration of the USB devices based on the USB configuration data without necessarily communicating with the USB devices. The MAUSB device may perform an enumeration of the USB devices on behalf of the host compute devices without necessarily communicating with the host compute device. The USB devices may not be aware or have any indication that the USB device is not communicating with the host compute device during the enumeration process. Such an approach may improve the latency of USB enumeration over an MAUSB connection.

Abstract: Examples are disclosed for techniques for wireless docking. According to some embodiments, a mobile device may scan for an available docking device, for example a device with one or more I/O devices such as a display. The mobile device may automatically establish a secure wireless link with the docking device, for example, if the docking device is known to the mobile device. However, I/O services to be provided by the docking device are not activated. Instead, the docking device will prompt a user for identification data. If the identification data passes verification, the I/O services may be activated. According to some embodiments, the identification data obtained by the docking device may also be used to wake the mobile device, to login to the mobile device, and/or to unlock the mobile device for user access.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to perform multi-band link aggregation in a wireless network are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a buffer controller to store (A) a first set of data packets that have been received on a first interface and (B) a second set of data packets that have been received on a second interface into a buffer, the first and second sets of data packets being received from a wireless device during a same time frame; and a window determiner to control a first bitmap corresponding to the first set of data packets received on the first interface and a second bitmap corresponding to the second set of data packets received on the second interface, a first size of the first bitmap and a second size of the second bitmap being smaller than a third size of the buffer.
