Abstract: Resource management processes are implemented by a computer processor and logic executable by the computer processor. The logic is configured to calculate a performance weight for each end user of an application executing on the computer processor. The performance weight is calculated as a function of an activity level determined for each end user and a type of the application. The logic is also configured to calculate an input/output weight for each end user from a combination of an input/output requirement and the performance weight. The input/output requirement is indicative of an amount of storage resources of a multi-tiered storage system associated with anticipated activities of the end user. The logic is further configured to assign an amount of the storage resources for each end user based on the input/output weight.

Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computer system for generating, by a computing device, an electronic message. While authoring the electronic message, a contact shown in the electronic message may be identified that will receive the electronic message when the electronic message is sent. The contact may be associated with a classification based upon, at least in part, one or more attributes of the contact. A visual indication associated with the contact may be displayed based upon, at least in part, the classification of the contact, wherein the visual indication associated with the contact may be displayed while authoring the electronic message and before the electronic message is sent to the contact.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to managing a collaborated environment. A set of editing rules are configured for a shared document. A first edit is received at a first time at a first location of the shared document. A second edit is received at a second time at the first location of the shared document which attempts to overwrite a portion of the first edit. A determination is made whether at least one editing rule of the set of editing rules is violated. In response to determining that at least one editing rule of the set of editing rules is violated, an alert action can be issued to a user associated with the second edit.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for implementing a personalized training recommendation system. A request is received from a user to generate a personalized training regimen for a specified athletic event and event information is identified comprising characteristics of one or more geographical segments of the specified athletic event. Based on the event information, one or more portions of a geographical region are identified that approximate one or more characteristics of the one or more geographical segments within a predetermined tolerance. A training course is generated at least by combining a selected set of the portions of the geographical region based on an evaluation of a level of matching, for each portion, of characteristics of the portion to the one or more physical characteristics associated with the one or more geographical segments of the specified athletic event, which is then presented to the user as the personalized training regimen for the user.

Abstract: Disclosed aspects relate to food freshness management. A freshness triggering event may be identified for a food item. The freshness triggering event may indicate that a criterion related to the food item has been achieved. A food freshness management action may be determined. The food freshness management action may be determined to respond to the freshness triggering event for the food item. The food freshness management action may be initiated. The food freshness management action may be carried-out with respect to the freshness triggering event for the food item.

Abstract: An approach is provided for securing a network-accessible site such as a bank, financial institution, or a user's home system. A request is received from a user of the network-accessible site. While the request is from a user, the system further verifies that the user is the authorized user and not an imposter, such as a hacker. To this end, the approach transmits a state inquiry to a wearable device registered to the user. The current state of the user is received from the wearable device, such as whether the user is sitting, standing, walking, sleeping, etc. If the system determines that the current user state allows the action to be performed at the site by the user, then the action is performed. Likewise, if the system determines that the current user state disallows the action, then the system inhibits, or otherwise prevents, the action from being performed.
